hello, i would like to start running this game again but it's a little difficult to record my gamecube now. would i be able to run this on emulator with my dumped rom, or only actual hardware? if it's actual hardware, i can point my camera at the screen like the old times until i get a working capture card.

Emulator is allowed. Just don't use save states and speedups etc. and you're gucci.
