When do I need to start the timer of the run? I probably miscalculated and ended up with a timer lower than what it should be. On Wii, there is a message before you gain control of the camera. It could be there the start of the timer. idk how it is on PC ou DS... Is there any reference to when to start the timer besides what is written on the rules to any%?
The fuzziness of the Real Time timer is why I base the rankings on the In Game Timer.
The moment you start a new game is when the timer begins.
Reason: On PC, you can use the Space Bar to skip over dialogue. DS is unknown to me.
The main reason you still had a faster time than my run (which isn't posted yet) is because of framerate. This game came out on PC in 2006 and was only 15 FPS. When it came out on Wii and DS in 2008 and 2009 respectively, it got amped up to 30 FPS. Increase in framerate causes quicker completion.
So, it shouldn't be better to have different categories for PC, Wii and DS? So we could compare better the RTA and certain plataforms won't have advantage (or create sub categories)

But, when the timer must start for wii? Since there is a message, the timer could start from there and have only till second throught video proof (and milisseconds if livesplit is used)
If you don't have access to a stopwatch for livesplit, I will retime your game and add the time with loads to the thousandth of a millisecond. I cannot say the same for time without loads
no need to use time without loads. Go with RTA if it is a console, the loading time will be the same for everyone. I have livesplit, but what I'm saying is that I probably started the timer on the wrong moment, that's why I got a time lower than what you calculated. I just want to know when to start the timer (on wii) so I can know how much time I'm getting on each run I do
If needed, I can mod this game, so I can be very specific with Wii times and rules because I got the console and can study the details by myself, so I can test want I need to
For any% and 100%, that is correct. Time without Loads is irrelevant. But for the newer category (All Beneficiaries), it is. And I can't really keep those settings to one particular category.
You start the timer the moment you hit New Game (unless you have to override a save, then it is the moment you hit Yes)
