Hey folks,
I know that this is a small game with only me interested at the moment. But I'd like to thank the site for accepting Facility 47 as a recognized game now. I've done my best to setup the game settings and the first categories (and the first/second run!).
This is a Myst-style point and click game, and some of the Myst speedruns are crazy-fast. I would expect someone with a bit of patience and a few attempts to beat me pretty quickly - I'm getting old and slow!
I've had to "validate" my own runs as this just seems to be me at the moment - I think cheating / splicing / etc is abhorrent and pointless in the community, so I hope you'd trust me for now when I say I would not do something like that. Needless to say if this game gets a 2nd person interested it would be great as it's then not just me "validating" my own run.
Thanks for your time reading the thread, I hope I can encourage others to run this game some day. :-)
Hey folks,
First of all, long time lurker, first time poster (err, I watch a lot of ZFG Zelda speedruns and stuff), but I've never speedrun a game before. I hope I'm obeying the community rules coming into this & posting...
I enjoy clicky puzzle games, and picked up "Facility 47" on Steam the other day. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1365390/Facility_47/ . Enjoyed it so much I thought I'd try running it - haven't found anything beyond some walkthroughs on YouTube... so I might be the first?
I've posted a my first video here; - [19m 18s]. Of course it's full of mistakes and regrets, heh, and if someone else takes a punt they'll for sure beat my reactions. Just keen to see if I can get this started though!
I made quite a few notes about the game here; https://github.com/jamesread/facility-47-speedrun (I'm more of a developer than gamer - the collaborative platform I'm used to is Github). It looks like my user account needs to be active for 7 days before requesting a new game here and uploading my run, so I'll be waiting!
Again, hope I'm doing things right, fingers crossed!
