It's probably slower than dying but better if you're using the route without Sphynx. I also wonder if it works on lava or other special floors.
I'm also running 16 star, my timesaves came from doing full runs, and the muscle memory comes to you after a few weeks. After that it's just grind to get good.
You can route it if you want, but I doubt many people would even try it because of the massive grinding you'd have to do for the level 4 upgrades, especially for ancient armor tunic of the wild. If you want the basic armor, then its just rupee farming on top of all shrines and dungeons as far as I can tell. I don't see it being different enough from other runs to get its own category, and BotW has yet to get its own category extension page :p
If you do BiT, you have to do S&S Skip, I don't believe the sword is in Rusl's house at all. If you have problems with it, what I found that helped me finally get it is to follow the setups every tutorial says with the black line on the ground, but the angle you need is way bigger than it seems in those videos.
All in the title. Stuff on ZSR MM3D page is outdated and some is written incorrectly. Is there an updated hundo route with stuff like cycle 1 escape and all the extended hookshot stuff? Both routes on ZSR seem old.
There should at least be a legitimate reason to include it over, say, Lynel Picture %, or Akkala Tech Lab %. Other than being long, there isn't anything that really separates it from any other side quest. There are other side quests that require dungeons to be completed as well.
Because any% literally means beat the game as fast as possible, and amiibo's are a legimitate part of the game. Think of it like the tingle tuner, to be competitive for wr you have to spend some money and time, or think of it like getting GC TP instead of Wii to be competitive for any% TP. It's fine to not use amiibo, and there's an option when you submit a run to specify that, but it can't be discredited just because it doesn't come with the vanilla game.
Non-completion categories are usually miscellaneous, and this seems like a really arbitrary category in my opinion. Plus, there would be a bunch of rupee and wood grinding, and even with the trees near Tarrey Town it sounds boring and tedious. If I remember correctly the NPC's can only move to TT if their respective Divine Beast is complete, so this feels like it'll be All Dungeons + TT + no Ganon, which just sounds really odd.
Don't forget that in any% you don't have a shield, so you have to settle for a FESS, which is slightly slower.
Are there any other big differences other than having to complete Eldin Twilight all at once to get iron boots instead of warping back to Faron to do Forest Temple partway through? (Looking at BiTE route)
You do not have to complete all main quests to complete All Dungeons, the memories are completely optional for example. All Main Quests also includes the Master Sword. This also includes more shrines in order to get the hearts for MS. The restrictions add a decent amount of time and gameplay to the speedrun, and definitely enough content to differentiate them.
I just saw a run submitted for Master Quest Glitchless, and it looks pretty interesting and a fresh breath from regular glitchless. Does anyone have a route pastebin for it?
So for now, I'm practicing sword and shield skip to no avail, but I want to practice the rest of the run too. Is it a problem to start out with no BiT Save and just doing intro mostly normally, other than not getting early iron boots?
That's my fault for not being clear. I meant to say that in my mind it would make more sense to commit to banning both long jumps and gainers, and just doing a backflip to skip moon tear.
I don't know the proper name for this, so sorry :p
I know that Pheenoh was testing it on stream a few weeks ago, and there was potential for getting it to do something in ems. I haven't seen anything on discord, has any progress been made in finding other places to activate it than just Kakariko and hacks?
Also, is there any luck in getting epona into North Faron?
