Looks like that game breaking bug I mentioned got patched.

Ever since the release of the update, there have been countless bugs and even a new game breaking bug that basically lets you fly in base form. Egzekiel said "We will begin working on the second fix update starting monday." Which is June 20th. It just seems unfair that if someone does the flying glitch and it stays on the leaderboard even after it gets fixed, that new runs after the patch will be significantly slower.

I believe we should let the game fix a few bugs before speedrunning begins. Maybe a month or so?

I believe if we were to fly to an area after obtaining all emeralds, it should only be limited to the super form because the dark form is now an exclusive form seeing how the gamepasses are now off-sale. But I do support the idea of just stopping after getting all the emeralds.
