Hi, decided to look and see if any leaderboards were made for Inscryption because thought about running it and sure enough they're here. However, question: Set Seed. How would you go about obtaining a set seed? I know there's one in resources which is grateful, but how to obtain one without downloading from Resources?
Since I ain't playing anything else really right now, I've been trying to find what helps make the run faster. Here's what we have:
-
Turning off Blinking lights / Fast animation option setting skips the weird flashing scene when you start a new file. Saves about 8 seconds.
-
The more recent discovery is pressing B during screen transitions. Apparently this skips or speeds up the transitions from doors. Unknown from as a whole, but each transition can save roughly a second for each transition.
Hi there. So it probably won't surprise some of you about what happened with the previous WR run. The user no longer is on SRC due to an account ban from several situations of cheating in other games they ran. warm_ham and I were taking our time to research their upload to the leaderboards to see what we can learn in hopes to prevent it from ever happening again. The suspicions became clear after the runner attempted to claim a sub 4 in EarthBound Any% Glitchless on their first attempt. Being part of the EB discord and having run it, I knew this was suspicious and so did everyone else in the community. UltimoIce (who originally was the one who started reaching out to communities and is a close friend of mine) asked me about them since they had a run in our leaderboards. Once I started looking closer, there were signs immediately pointing to suspicion, such as this being the only attempt he has uploaded to the leaderboards, as well as it being the only video of a finished run (was running against a 19:01 which doesn't exist anywhere). We then had to be professional in our stance where while we don't support a cheater to be on the leaderboards, we needed enough proof. After obtaining the video and audio, we will have all the time to see what exactly happened. Outside of that, SRC handled it from all the reports they were given.
Edit: Upon further investigation, I have realized that there are more listings of runs on Mega Man RTA leaderboards. I wish there were more guides here because of situations like this.
I'm currently watching Chapter 2 and he does not have an MKIII (unsure what the name is since I'm playing in US), but it magically appears in his inventory. What is this? I'm trying to get notes written up so I can learn this. Where do I get this MKIII weapon? I've watched his movement and wrote it all down.
Hi everyone! So recently there have been some changes to some of the mods here on the leaderboards since a few have gone inactive. Sabin has been doing an excellent job trying to maintain it, but has brought us in for a bit of extra help. If anyone has questions about the runs, feel free to drop us questions in the discord. Since I have probably been most active in the game, feel free to reach out to me on Discord, Twitch or Twitter and I'll help ya out.
We'll hopefully try to bring alive these forums a little bit more about questions or discussions, but in the mean time we'll all be here in the Discord. <3
So if you follow Wayforward's twitter and have started up Mummy recently, you'll notice that there was an update to Mummy Demastered. A few things have changed in the run even though it's the same. The big changes are as follows:
- Performance is better in some areas.
- Shorter load times
- Some change to death, but unimportant to the run
But some of the changes they failed to mention were:
- Bosses, especially the later ones, have less HP.
- Bosses now drop all consumable of your loadout instead of just one type (I.E. Scarab now drops all consumables for both guns and grenades when he use to only drop the ammo for javelin gun.
First run after the update was extremely free for a PB, saved 1:30. IGT was almost sub 34. I am also running in HDD so I would assume SSD would be able knock it out easily.
Update: They did actually mention it on a Facebook post. "The Mummy Demastered has been updated with a smoother frame rate, shorter load times, and re-balanced death mechanic! Switch version adds all new HD Rumble!
This update includes:
-
Initial load time has been drastically reduced.
-
HD Rumble added to Nintendo Switch version
-
Revamped the death mechanic:
Health Packs regained from Undead Agents default to full Weapons Regained from Undead Agents have more ammo Undead Agents health more fairly balanced, based on # of Health Packs they are holding.
-
Health drops are more fairly balanced
-
Spawn Frequency of Bats, Ravens, and Spiders re-balanced
-
HP of all bosses has been re-balanced
-
Game performance greatly increased
Try out all these great new updates NOW!"
Hi ___,
So... I talked to the director of the game and our lead tester, and they decided that they want to keep the details of the in-game timer hidden. I'm afraid it's something speedrunners are going to have to experiment with on their own. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but I hope you guys continue to work on those times.
Best regards,

I think I'll be stopping until I get this word back from Warforward on what affects IGT. I had a run where I literally beat my livesplit time by 10 seconds, but I was 3 seconds behind my previous IGT. There's something odd and botched with what is being tracked.
This is really a question more for Axmos. Can you please inform me on what you're doing to blast through the dialogue on PC? What keys are you pushing?
After looking at both the 45:55 RGT from MetroidMcFly and timing it myself, I kinda don't understand where the 45:55 is coming from. In the video, my timer hit the RGT in like the middle of the credits. If we do go for just a second column for RGT, we should really find a good point that is a nice place to stop it. I've been stopping livesplit after the fade to black when flying away in the helicopter. I agree though with Ecdycis on that really, IGT is a bit easier to base the LB off of. I'm completely open for both though.
Edit: dawned on me that RGT would be pretty important though if we start getting millisecond runs because IGT doesn't show that.
Probably help to pay attention to the site, would have seen the forums! XD I'm Quatropus, nice to meet everyone! Last year I was racing Binding of Isaac under a different name, but decided to move on because I wanted something different. Watched SGDQ a lot this year and was super interested in learning. I've currently been running Abzu, Inside, Ori and the Blind Forest, and now I'm currently working on Legend of Mana. Again, nice to meet everyone! :D
