Apparently the release date for NA is the 19th, while europe is 22nd of this month and I just pre-ordered the Switch version, so I'd like to know if I'll be able to submit runs then.

I'm interested in attempting runs again. I previously gave up because I kept dying to random stuff before even getting to chapter 7 and I remember using a different flaw in my ancient route I made back when I first played this game. Is there a different flaw that could maybe make the early game less of a reset fest or is Defense the only option for the Dark Flier route (I used Dark Knight back then because I didn't know about Galeforce yet)

So does this change anyone's mind on using twitch for streaming? Personally I'm considering giving SteamTV a try, should that actually become a proper streaming platform. Either way, I'll be canceling Amazon Prime and not giving Twitch any more money than needed (some people deserve their subscriptions, even if I have to use paypal for that now).

There's like 10 threads in the recent ones here, literall all about a game not being notable. I get it it you want a leaderboard, go learn how to use Google Spreadsheet and Google Forms and make one yourself if you think your game is worth it. But can we please stop flooding this subforum with threads about single games not getting accepted on here, we already had this debate hundreds of times before the flashgame rule change, why are we still doing this?

I'd like to start running this game for fun and don't quite understand how demo timing works. Do I need to manually start the demo recording on every new map or do recordings carry over to the next map? And how do I time the demos when I'm done? I found one tool in the resources, but that can't time the first and last map accurately. Do I just go into playdemo, find the tick I gain/lose control and subtract that from the total demo length in ticks and convert that to seconds manually (I think I heard this game runs at 60ticks/sec)?

Back in 2017 I was mostly playing PC games and at the time played a bunch of Diablo 3 and started speedrunning GEAR:Full Circle again (requires aiming with the mouse and holding the mousebutton for movement). About a week after quitting Diablo 3 due to being bored by it I had focussed on GEAR exclusively, doing runs and ILs for a few hours each day. One day during an IL stream my hand suddenly hurt so badly that I had to end the stream and see a doctor. I could not use that hand at all for like a month and ever since I've had that pain return after extended gaming sessions.

A few months after that I started streaming with a regular schedule, iirc 4 days a week, doing Pokemon Emerald runs and had no hand pain issues at all. At the time I guessed that it was due to me mashing with my thumbs and not the two fingers that I'd use for the mouse buttons.

Earlier this month I got into Emerald again, after finally finishing the new abra route, and have taken off 3 days a week again, but the hand pain is so bad that I may have to skip today as well. Is there anything other than regular stretching I could do to combat this hand pain issue? I'd rather it not get as bad as last year again, but I also really want to practise Emerald a bunch for ESA Summer in July. Currently the pain gets worse from doing pixelart or picross puzzles, both similarly using the mouse, but that only started after getting into emerald again.

A fan project lead by ValveNewsNetwork recently recreated the Still Alive bonus maps from the xbox live arcade version of Portal. I started casually running it and the maps are a lot of fun. I'd love to have a leaderboard for this mod.

An unpack version can also be very easily made using the free tool GFScape to unpack the 3 vpk files. Haven't figured out how to get SourceSplit's autosplitting working yet tho.

Was going to try that All Achievements category, but I could only reset the advanced chambers, by deleting a few files. Didn't see one for achievements and the other challenges.

So, there's Beat all campaigns. The question is, as DLC is not allowed, does this include the two DLC campaigns and the episode "Tomomo Hell"? And should there also be a category that does allow the DLC stuff, but requires also beating all DLC episodes.

I have also no idea what to call these categories. Either "Beat Base Campaigns" and "Beat All Campaigns" or keep the name as is and make the new one "Beat All Campaigns + DLC". There's also the option of just splitting BAC into two subcategories (Half-Life 2 has that, I think?) with "No DLC" and DLC. A similar thing could also be done for 200% and 300%, although I do not have a name idea for that.

Is NG+ allowed? if yes: start timing on chosing first episode? Is DLC allowed? DLC ILs? (Star Breaker, Sweet Breaker) Is Tomomo Hell required for the Extras IL? When does timing end? Is it required to play as QP in QP IL / Suguri in Suguri IL / and so on?

Does it mean all the maps in the game right now or all 22 launch tracks? If the first one, then the leaderboards would need to be reset everytime the game gets a new map, which would be pretty stupid
