Every PS2 should have an FDS option. With the disc tray open/out you should be able to press triangle twice and the option will be there.
And yes, PAL is slower. Although Spyro moves faster in general, the loads and dragon cutscenes are slower than NTSC which ends up being slower overall. It's definitely fine to start running on though if it's all you have.
I saw Liquid post this on Twitter, not sure who the person who originally wrote it was but yeah it seems the run was spliced after further inspection. Pretty sure he also deleted everything Hit and Run related after he was found out.
Wondering why Hit and Run didn't make it past at least first cuts. 100% I totally get why it didn't make it, but I would have thought All Story Missions would have been a good fit.
Sometimes I have to open the game, then open Livesplit otherwise it doesn't work. Maybe that's the problem?
Basically what Walkers said. A lot of people who run on emulator either use an Xbox 360 controller which works natively with Windows so it's super easy to set up, or you can get PS2 to USB adaptors on ebay for a couple of dollars to plug PS controllers into your computer.
All good, I think I'll just buy a disc when I get some money honestly. Trying to get this setup is a bit dumb haha. Thanks anyway guys.
Trying to run the game.exe just gives me a critical error. Tried doing compatibility settings, changing stuff in the .ini file, etc and still nothing
I downloaded both games from that youtube video, but once its on my computer double clicking the shortcut file (which is what he says to do) doesn't do anything because the shortcut leads to nothing. None of this makes sense honestly.
I have already tried all 3 fixes you have mentioned on the download I had and it didn't seem to work. Will try downloading these ones from the video and see how I go. Thanks :D
Hate to be a pain, but I am having a lot of trouble trying to get these games to work. Both are having the exact same issue where I download them from a place where I know other people have downloaded the game from and got it working.
When I try to run either game, it just doesn't do anything. I am running Windows 10 and I have tried all the things in other forum threads here and have had no success. Does anyone have any ideas at all or would it just be easier to buy a disc at this point?
Okay so I'm learning this and having trouble with a couple of parts of this trick. I can get the first jump fairly consistently but having trouble with the blind jumps after that. I have gotten it a couple of times, but not sure how to do it consistently.
Also having trouble just after getting the trick with parts of the floor not loading and I just fall through into the abyss. How to avoid? Thanks :)
Yeah this is known about. Icy Peak has a tendency to crash while using the cannons. Best way to avoid it is to take it slowly, if you shoot things too quickly one after another the game can freeze like that. Doesn't happen all the time, but just to be safe probably take it a little slower than normal. :)
Also forgot to mention availability. Assuming my submissions make it in, I will only be available from late 24th onwards. I will be getting in likely late afternoon that day. Thanks :D
I also forgot that my Spyro 2 submission has no commentary on it, I am happy to dub some commentary if selectors would like it :)
Yeah, it's worth just taking it a bit slower and getting a feel for it first. Good luck :D
So with the sub clip, when you get it, don't immediately go into the loading zone. What I do is aim away from the submarine looking into the distance and wait for the colour of surroundings to change. This is a pretty good indicator that you are free walk into the loading zone and the restart checkpoint. You sort of get a feel for it, and you get faster at doing it every time. Hope that helps in any way. :)
