The 'Real Time', yeah, added that line into the rules. The full game timing by adding them up should work too
We should use IGT for levels, it's consistent for everyone whereas LiveSplit is inaccurate without an autosplitter and the time between acts is effectively loading screens
While running I figured these were worth bringing up and should be implemented here
- At the end of every mission a 'Real-Time' is given. This is a suitable timer to use for Levels imo (Not 'Final-Time' as that doesn't count act attempts where you die)
- Full game runs should start first frame of gameplay after pressing start on the first mission (black screen with HUD elements) and should end first frame the 'Target Down' text appears on the final mission (the text flashes red for a frame) There should be no cuts/splices so the menu between missions is counted
- 'Display Time' should be enabled in the Video Settings and 'Show Score' should be set to 'Full' for verification purposes
Hey! If you launch LiveSplit, go into "Edit Splits..." and type Mullet Mad Jack into the "Game Name" bar, the autosplitter should load automatically
The run that is currently 4th place on the Any%/Easy board is the only run that is played on or post patch 1.05. Every other run was played before this patch introduced the in-game speedrun mode timer which gave us official starting and ending points for all the sequences that are counted as in-game time, we timed it differently before this patch which is why some runs are currently minutes faster than they should be. I am in the process of retiming every single run, check in the NewGame+ category, every retimed run is noted with (Mod note: IGT retimed to patch 1.05). Only a few runs in Any% have been retimed so far as that's the bulk of the runs and each run takes roughly 30 minutes for me to frame time 12 different sequences, I've been aiming to retime at least one run a day since I found the frames to reference from this patch but sometimes I've missed days and including obsolete runs I still have a lot to retime, my time frame is all runs will be retimed in no more than a week from now. If you want to submit a run during this you're able, I'm going to post in the news section when all runs before patch 1.05 have been retimed and at that point the runs will be where they should be.
