I had no idea what I was doing and still had a great time!! You must know their later games, Mushihimesama & Mushihimesama Futari?
Definitely will be attempting All Fields, currently learning the proposed path.
Yes! Sorry for the delay, I don't get notifications about forum updates so maybe I should look and see if that is an option. Let me figure out how to do that as this board is going to get a slight overhaul since it is currently in Big 20 (#20) and I am adding another mod to help keep things in order.
We are continuing to update the boards, watch for more to come. Sorry for the brief answer as we are still settling on some things and I don't want to speculate non-concrete plans.
This is definitely correct and I previously ran the FC version with the glitch which made it a lot easier to learn the run without lots and lots of farming. When possible the mods and I can discuss how to best handle this; I have done massive re-times and board splits before and would be willing to spearhead the actual renovations when they come about.
At this point, I think the Genesis board is up to date as much as possible with the exception of going through each Individual Level rule and cleaning it up with better language; that will happen secondary to more work on the SNES board but I think this board is at a state now where I can focus on updating the SNES board.
Hello everyone, welcome to the SNES board for Boogerman!
The two games are remarkably similar in most every way except the actual contents/layout of every level; the names remain the same but the path you take through the levels plays very different between the two versions.
This board is a work in progress and I am hoping to see some new runners rolling in soon!!
Happy to announce we are finally achieving separation of consoles via exclusive boards for each version.
Until I update the rules, let's say all emulators are allowed that aren't known to be faulty by other speedrun boards (smartphone emulation for instance and a handful of others).
Hey all, new mod for the game. I will be splitting the categories by console soon as I can. Let's get some more runs in here!!
*edited for update: after playing both versions I have requested that the board be completely separated by console. This board will remain the Genesis version and the new board will the the SNES port due to the levels themselves being the same in name only; each level is functionally different between the two consoles.
No solid confirm on the technical side, but it seems like if you nudge just under the platform and jump high enough to bonk your head it seems to help; this may be purely coincidental however. I do wish there was a reliable way to test it.
Excellent run!! One of the most movement specific games ever and such a great speedrun.
I think they are very similar if not exactly the same. I haven't attempted the arcade version yet but would be happy to open up the board for that category as I would assume there won't be much difference to have a merged board; let's find out together!!
Hello, just wondering about an arcade category and if it would be the same goal as NES Single Loop basically. I'm running the game for an event at the end of October and would love to have a coherent run put together by then.
I am in favor of this category as well, since this game in now a part of my longtime playlist. I want to excel in this game and also see every screen it has to offer.
Hello all. Since this game has been selected for the latest Big 20 event I wanted to go through and make sure all the runs included their milliseconds on the board.
Some submissions had not previously included the milliseconds so if you saw your run was re-verified it's because I retimed to get the exact milliseconds.
Exception: those times that are a flat 000 milliseconds will only display as a minute:seconds format, so in these cases we can't show the milliseconds for that run on the board but know that it is a flat 000.
Since you mentioned this bug I contacted the site mods and mentioned it. Also requested moderation to help out the current mods since they are less active right now.
I submitted a month ago with no problem. Is this the only game so far to give you this error?
