Clearification for this: the TA Wiki and Freestyle (Capture/Slay) are specifically for IL and do not apply to RTA (Any%).
Please continue your feedback! Its greatly appreciated. ^^
Regarding the allegations of cheating: this is still under review. I have been working on the draft and looking into more information. My goal is to have the decision published this weekend. Thank you to everyone who has been assisting in the investigation. Your commitment to this community is much appreciated.
A very fair point and something thats being investigated. We are trying to avoid requiring handcam, as I feel this will place a level of tedium on running most will not want to partivipate in. Counting frames as shown in the video is also a possibility if, and only if, it cannot be recreated with human input.
If you, or anyone, has any suggestions on this please feel free to discuss. One of the results of this investigation is to difinitely define the position of turbo on the leaderboard and how to verify it.
Regarding the above: I want to make this evidently clear, a decision will not be made today, tomorrow, or likely this week. Please remember people do have responsibilities outside this community, including myself. Accumulating evidence and gathering testimony will take time. Please be patient during this time. As always you can message me (JalBagel) with any questions or concerns regarding the community. My DMs are always open.
The MH SRC team takes any allegation of cheating very seriously. We strive to uphold the standards of the community set forward by the community. We will be investigating this claim further and will provide updates here and in the discord.
It is important the community is informed about claims against players and the efforts we take to resolve these claims. We will be performing a similar investigation. Please feel free to discuss but remain respectful and professional in your conversations.

Questions regarding the investigstion can be directed towards @JalBagel or in the discussion thread below. Be aware, a decision may take a few days to be reached. Myself and other moderators assisting with investigations do have fulltime jobs/schools and other responsibilities. We will be using our available time address this appropriately. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
We are excited to announce the leaderboard for Monster Hunter Rise is open for submissions!
I wanted to take the time to explain some of the decisions we made for the submission process:
Individual Levels • Full video recordings are required: Unfortunately, the game can still be modded on Switch. Because of this, we need full runs to verify consistent and unedited damage. • Damage values must be active and visible: This is part of our verification process to ensure players aren't using modded equipment or damage values. This also means recordings with lower resolution may be unverifiable if the values cannot be read. • Showing skills and equipment: If you're familiar with previous MH games, this is an ongoing requirement to verify legal equipment. This also grants us the ability to recreate your run and circumstances if required. • Multiplayer submissions require all POVs: In order to confirm ALL PLAYERS are using legal equipment, all players must record their runs with all verification procedures. A single submission for all 4 runners can be done with the other 3 POVs in the description.
Real Time Attack / Any% • Start Time on START NEW FILE or OVERWRITE CHARACTER confirmation: Time begins when you select the New File or Overwrite a file. Files cannot be deleted in Rise, so Overwriting will be most common. There is a second selection to confirm you want to overwrite the file. This is the preferred method. • Stop Time when target monster is killed/captured: Time stops the moment the monster is captured or killed. The same time the end quest timer appears. Any miss-splits will be readjusted, but practice and understand when time stops (and starts). • Timer and Full Video: As usual, a full video recording (with audio) showing Start and Stop time is required. Livesplit is a great tool for this! • All Add-ons Content from Senri the Mailman is Prohibited: This means items, item packs, layered armors, and other bonuses acquired through the "Add-ons Content" menu from Senri is prohibited. Testing has shown your internet connection can effect how quickly the content is collected. Additionally, not all regions or players received every item pack available. To maintain an even playing field, all Add-ons Content is prohibited. • HUB ONLY: Village Special License quests are Prohibited: To maintain the category as Hub Only, the Special License quests available in Village have been prohibited from the Hub% categories.
This is a new game and a lot of information. If you every have questions comment in this thread or discuss on the community Discord!
Good Luck and Happy Hunting! ~JalBagel
ATTENTION RISE HUNTERS We are all excited for the release of Monster Hunter Rise and looking forward to speedrunning the game! At this time we are issuing an embargo on Rise Speedrun Submissions for TWO WEEKS. The embargo will be lifted on April 9. This will give the moderation team time to play and enjoy the game as well as learn it to develop new verification rules and resources.
During this time you may see quests become available on the leaderboards and other changes. DO NOT SUBMIT until the embargo is over. Any runs submitted during this time (excluding Demo2 submissions) will be rejected without review. We ask you paitently wait for the embargo to be lifted and verification/game rules be established.
Thank you for your coorporation, and we'll see you in Kamura Village hunters! ~JalBagel

@R0main Replying to "@JalBagel Series mod or not, you require a pending run. @NinjasInCarpets isn't fairly inactive either."
Understandable. We have information that needs tk be updated however and no active moderators. If your hands are tied I get it, but every moderator on that board (mh3u) is inactive.
Hello. Looking to be added as a super mod to Monster Hunter 3U leaderboards: https://www.speedrun.com/mh3u No active super mods. CritLuck last on 2 years ago. Divvymew last on 2 years ago. Also I'm presently a super mod for the Monster Hunter Game Series. TYVM for the help.
Hello everyone! We've had some questions and sloppy submissions recently to the leaderboards, so I've recorded a short video showing how you can make submissions!
The biggest takeaway from this video is really:
Use "Time" for Any% runs Use "In-game Time" for IL runs
I hope this video clears some things up and doesn't create more confusion! Let me know if there are still any unanswered questions!

PS4 and XBox One have native recording. PS4 can record up to an hour. XBox One can record up to 10 min. Save that to a thumb drive and upload as normal. If anyone needs instructions on how to record with their console, a simple google search gets you to a lot of resources. You can even record the past 5 minutes on both platforms without having already started a recording (similar to Shadowplay) making saving PB/WR runs easier.
The real reason for the multiple videos for MP has been damage value verification and the fact we're making the recorder verify armor but not the other participants. Its obviously more of an issue on PC (because of the accessibility to mods), but has been observed in console runs too. At that point we can only say "it looks the other hunter is cheating" but we have no way to prove it. This makes the verification more consistent when we suspect there are issues.
As far as the complexity of the boards, if you have Iceborne (i.e. access to MR equipment and clutch claw), you submit runs to the IB boards. If you do not own Iceborne (no access to MR equipment or clutch claw), you submit to the "Base" MHW boards.
You can still do the base content with the Iceborne expansion. You just have to submit it to the Iceborne leaderboards. For ILs, you have access to Master Rank armor and the clutch claw, a distinct advantage over Vanilla.
All the the same quests from Vanilla and the new optionals from Iceborne will be available to submit to on the Iceborne leaderboards. Does that make sense?
If you play the game/do a run, IL or RTA, on Iceborne, then you submit to the Icenorne leaderboard. If you play on base/vanilla, then submit to the original board.
Vanilla does not get Clutch Claw, Master Rank equipment, and some other mechanics, so Vanilla and Iceborne have separate leaderboards for all run categories.
Edit: Didnt answer part of your question. The vanilla board will not become obselete since there may still be runners playing on vanilla, but a new patch category will be included, Iceborne 10.x (or somwthing like that), to denote the run was submitted on the Iceborne patch in Vanilla.
With the addition of Iceborne we recieved the Guardian Armor and Early Weapon Upgrade Materials Pack as limited release redeemables to the game. These items are only available to redeem until October 3, 2019 ( http://www.imgur.com/gallery/qgzYjMQ ). Therefore, these items have been included in the DLC tag for all Any% categories.
The DLC rules will be updated to follow these changes.

@DarrkDucky it does appear the Guardian Armor and Item Pack are only available until October 3rd. This would warrant a limited release and a DLC tag. I'll be making an official post shortly on the topic.
The sets distributed are, for the most part, considered DLC as well, though we do not have an official ruling on it yet. As for the Guardian Armor, if it is limited release, then it will be considered DLC like the Origin Armor and Fairwind Charm. There's also an open discussion in the MHW Speedrun Discord (https://discordapp.com/invite/z8suWUX) if you would like to share your thoughts there as well.
@Liv @HowDenKing reached out to me to me with the idea. I can ask him to post to confirm the decision.
