New South Wales, Australialiterally had the exact same thought from the wr progression video. Would have been cool to see more optimisation, but I think the problem is if you don't include the rule that the shell has to target you then the best time will eventually be 30 seconds + time it takes for blue shell to go to first, circle around and hit target
this has probably already been brought up, but can't you just get the filtered seed and explore the world first before running? (basically becomes set seed) it's impossible for mods to know if you've already looked at the world, and it's also impossible to properly verify.... right? am i missing something? if not, then I'm sure there's a lot of cheated runs on the leaderboard
A new route / percent would be so fun. Especially a meme run. How about you have to burn every crate or something?
That's ok, you don't have to. I love how you are such an active user, verifying my run less than a few hours after submission
To be honest, having individual level runs is a great idea. Some levels might be short but it's a really easy way for runners to share routes and also encourages them to practice individual levels.

Can you see yourself get out of the crate before you die? If so (and if you are double-tapping), your first tap is too early, and your second one is fine. You need to get out just after the crate passes the corner.
Also, holding down and continuing to hold down will wait until it is possible to get in a crate, then it will enter on the first frame. This will be useful. To get out of the crate while holding down, use the trick where you hold down for a bit and release and it will automatically jump.
go to the menu and hold left before pressing 's' to do the speedrun. Your timer won't start until you press another button
So, I found two glitches that don't really do much, but here you go. If you turn around at the same time as you hit the treasure chest at the end of a level, the cutscene of you jumping will play with you facing the other direction. Also, if you get out of your crate at just the right time, you can get stuck in a wall until you press down or s to get back into the crate.
armor's web version is slightly different from cool-math's. it's slightly easier!! which one can we do? also how about the original web version by evilobjective?
