Is there any way to roll back to a previous version of BFBBR on PC? After trying a 2 Spatula run on the latest revision (604909) I realised that the game no longer gives you the cruise bubble and bubble bowl ability when you start the final boss fight. I am wondering if I can roll back to the previous version (603899)? Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this game is very fun to run.
Interesting thing: if an enemy is dashing towards you and you open the menu or talk to Olivia the enemy stops dashing at you.
In the ice Temple in the room with the big hammer bro (?) at the top there is a hole you have to fill, but you can jump around it on the left side. I can add a video if it’s needed.
In the Earth vellumental Temple, if there was a way to get up to the mouth (the entrance to the boss fight) without needing to go around in to the other rooms it could save a lot of time...
That’s awesome! I am also glad to try any skips on a new file, as I was planning to do it on my own anyway. Some theoretical skips include a way to jump from the pile of cans to the pier in the dry lake in the Blue Streamer segment to skip a cutscene, and a way to get around the not-so-bottomless hole in the fire vellumental temple with a fire bro on a chest to the left, to skip a fire bro fight.
With the going around the Not-so-bottomless holes in the Ice temple, I think the same idea could be applied in some places in the fire temple, because there were some that looked like going around them may be possible.
Edit: The hole in the fire temple I mentioned is the one where there is a fire bro on a chest to your left, and once you fill the hole, a fire bro jumps down that you have to fight.
Partway through the ‘blue ribbon’ segment we encounter a drained lake. There is a pile of cans next to a platform. If you jump on top of them you just barely can’t jump to the platform next to it. If you walk around the platform there is a sort of long cutscene you have to watch. It may be possible to jump onto the platform and skip the cutscene trigger. This is at the part where there are 3 cheep-cheeps flopping on the floor, and the cutscene in question is when Bob-omb talks about the boat.
I found that when fighting enemies if you get an ‘excellent’ hit with a hammer, or an ‘excellent’ jump for the last in the line, it briefly goes into slow motion. If you get a ‘great’ hammer hit it still does enough damage but doesn’t go into slow motion. If you also fail the last action command in the jump sequence, it will prevent it from going into slow motion. This is just a small optimisation I found while playing the game. I look forward to glitch hunting in this game!!
