Theres a PC leaderboard that's separate from this one https://www.speedrun.com/the_last_of_us_part_i_pc
time is IGT not livesplit, so if it's off then we go by what the game says
We're getting about 10+ runs submitted a day for about a 2 hour run, that's nearly an entire days worth of videos to watch and verify. Being a mod/verifier is a volunteer job, and we all have lifes so we can't be watching runs all the time. Personally, Ive been watching some runners for months or years before RE4r was released, and I'll watch them live. It's pretty common for any mod/verifier to watch a friend live and if they happen to PB they'll get verified because the run was watched live and doesn't need to sit in queue but if a verifier wasn't there live, the run sits, it's just how it happens. So please be patient, as we all can't watch several runs of 2 hour runs every single day. Personally, only waiting at most 2 weeks for a run to be verified of how popular and long this run happens to be is pretty nice. There are runs shorter than 4r with smaller queues who have to wait longer than 2 weeks. So please be patient as we are trying to work through this queue still.
Game Rules --> Runs must have video proof --> Last point is "You must show your costume select screen either before, during, or after a run."
Again, for consistency, ALL runs must show costume select screen, even console. I understand that the rule is frustrating, and it sucks rejecting runs over it, but to allow people to use mods and have fun, we must see your costume and your accessories.
I see you're still grinding the game tho, so just show your costume before, during, or after your run on your new PB. Goodluck with your future runs
The ruling of showing costume select screen was added after some runs were already verified, so you may of happen to see some runs where they dont have to. For a consistency basis, ALL runs must now show their costume select screen, and that's especially important for NG runs (NMG and any% alike).
You dont want to quickturn on console (genrally quick turning is bad unless you're interacting with something else at the same time). What I do personally is try to find the interact as far left on the screen as the game will allow me and then just turn as soon as I hit the interact button. But I do it the fastest way possible and it's still kind of risky. You can take it slow and just line up max distance and do the same thing of just turn around as soon as you interact. I usually find it when the watch says 10+ it means you'll usually make it. Plus, if you're running NG+ you can grab the boots from the box making the skip a bit easier but you're losing like 3 seconds to do so
Unfortunately, the only ways to really record anything for console would be: recording locally from the built in system on your console, streaming it on YT/Twitch and highlighting the VOD or buying a capture card to record
There isn't a glitchless category because this game only has one glitch to use, and it only saves about 20 seconds. The glitch itself is pretty easy to pull off, but you can still do runs without doing this glitch since it's not a massive time save, and the run is a ton of fun. It would be somewhat useless to make a glitchless category just to have runs of the same caliber but only a 20ish second time difference.
To get a good knowledge on how to perform the Out Of Bound (OoB), you could watch Zeke's OoB guide or Marphoria's speedrun guide, both give great advice on how to get the glitch almost every single time (for old patches). There has yet to be a video about the new OoB with the update, but it's still pretty simple, just shooting Jack in the leg in the bathroom and then getting the dog head and racing jack to the living room
That's crazy if true. There have only been 2 instances of that occuring and recorded. It is currently stated that any speedruns with the TV skip will be rejected as it's a inconsistent method and believed to be a hardware malfunction. If you have a recording of you getting the TV skip, please share it in the discord.
The funny thing was that I was wondering if TV skip or some other skip with OoB or something could be found with the new update. But yeah, any recording or information would be great help in us finding the skip, because it can save like 3 minutes because that's a long cutscene.
In the discord, TheDementedSalad said that some YouTube videos are having a weird error message show up and the mods have no other option to reject the runs since they can't watch the videos. So if your YouTube video gets rejected and the video is still there, feel free to message the mod about what happened.
Removed 4 seconds off of your time. Time begins when pressing 'OK' and time ends on the last hit of Seraph. Nice run overall, i think you could easily crack top 3, and you could resubmit this run to be placed in the Unseeded Umbra category.
Crazy RNG to get 2 Shadowsieges from picks lol
