At the beginning, there are 28 frames where we cannot save the game but can move Lara. I used those 28 frames to move Lara forward a little bit.

At the end, I exited to the title menu to check the time before watching the 1m48s long cutscene at the beginning of the next level. The operations during the black screen are as follows.

1. Hold F5 when the next level loads.
2. Press Down to change to an empty slot in the save-game menu.
3. Hold P and press Action to save the game and open the pause menu.
4. Press Down twice to highlight the Exit To Title option in the pause menu.
5. Press Action to exit to the title menu.
