Thought it might be fun to have a category that's speedrunning the campaign. To me, that feels closer to a "100%" speedrun than just connecting every city... I would change the name of that category to be something like "network%" or something, idk. Also it might be fun to have subcategories where you start in different years, like 1850 for example, as the opposite on the spectrum from old - modern. And maybe some years in-between. But I understand if there just aren't enough people to have more categories made just yet.
or set seed or different difficulties could also be good as subcategories. Another idea for a third main category would be a longer-term speedrun, say to 1 or 10 billion.
oooh or as subcategories of network% we could have it with 4 items per city or 6. Also you could have subcategories that change the map size.
these are all great suggestions jazzy! thank you for getting involved with the speedrunning scene always great to see new faces getting involved. I'll note these down for the future but for now we need to focus on awareness and keeping it simple to attract more people to have a try! Take a stab at 100% tho!
Just seen the campaign 100% category. Having just gone through the campaign, it's a bit of an endurance run! Some of the levels are glitchy and the final level is insanity with traffic management. Will require a lot of planning! Are we including all the bonus tasks?
