Hey potential Emulator runners,
The Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks mods have been discussing emulator eligibility recently. As of today, we will start allowing Emulator runs to be accepted into the leaderboards. The game rules have been updated to include the rules for emulator. For now this is how the emulator rules look:
Emulator-specific Rules:
- You must use MelonDS 0.8.3 or more recent (latest version recommended). All other emulators and versions (such as Desmume/Bizhawk) are banned.
- You must use the default settings for CONFIGURE -> EMU SETTINGS
- In case of emulator or setting rules changes, old runs will always be grandfathered into the new rules unless otherwise determined with the discretion of moderators.
We may add more allowed Emulators as time goes on, but for now, this is how it looks. Have fun running!
And sorry for it taking this long. We should have gotten this sorted out years ago, so I'd like to extend a huge apology to everyone who has wanted to run this game on emulator but couldn't. Especially since this game is less accessible than ever right now.

Hey everyone,
After some community discussion, I've gone ahead and split the leaderboards between DS/3DS and Wii U VC. The time difference between these two versions is massive, and so it isn't particularly fair to DS runners to force them to compete on a leaderboard with times far higher than they could possibly achieve right now. Doubly so now that the eShop has shut down and the DS version is the only version that you can still get legally.
So now whenever you submit a run, you'll have to specify which console sub-category it'll go into. (This is in addition to setting the console the run was done on further down in the submission page.)
This is just for the main leaderboards (Any%, 100%, and Ghost Ship RTA), and not the level leaderboards. I can change that later if there becomes more attention on those leaderboards.
Apologies it took this long to do, I realize this is something we should have done a long time ago
