There are three glitched achievements that help when running this game, 'A Good Listener', 'QR Reader', and 'Thorough Researcher'. Technically you don't need the achievements, you need to set a flag which happens to unlock the achievements, so just using SAM won't work.

These flags are helpful because unlocking each achievement gives you a special paint message. As it turns out the flags it uses to decide this don't reset, so when you have the flags once you can continue getting these messages every time you start a new game. Paint requires a certain amount of messages, so we can use these to unlock it earlier. Thorough Researcher's message is rather slow to get to so it's not currently used, but the other two are quite fast so you'll definitely want to get them before running some of the longer categories.

There are two guides for quickly getting A Good Listener and QR Reader. As Thorough Researcher is less useful it does not have a full guide yet.

Firstly, on windows you can try use cheat engine to very quickly unlock the flags. If you don't usually run windows but have access to a machine with it you can setup your save file there and copy it across. Also note that Talos doesn't use VAC, so using cheat engine is perfectly safe, you won't get banned.

It uses mostly easy strats so if you're new to the game you shouldn't have too much trouble following it.
