Hey guys! I'm having a blast with these speed runs; I'm actually surprised that I was doing these so fast... I had no idea I was doing anything special all these 15 years. This is really fun!
Me and my brother actually have some really cool speed run videos of us both playing split screen on Battlefront and simply dominating. Is there ever going to be a category for split screen speed runs? I'd love to help pioneer the genre if possible!
I also have another new category idea... What if we had a no deaths+victories only category? It would be fun to see a marathon and see how long someone lasts with all the maps. Random ideas!
I'd be interested in adding categories for split-screen runs potentially. Probably a no on no-deaths as a category though, this game can be so random with grenades or hard-difficulty snipers sometimes that no-deaths seems way too punishing. It'd also encourage even more vehicle play since that tends to be less risky, which isn't very exciting (or fast) for a speedrun.

Awesome, I'm definitely curious to see what's possible in split screen. I wonder if some maps will command a two-player rush of some CP's due to the increased cap speed, but I'm sure others will be fastest with players splitting up to take 2 CP's simultaneously. Interested to see how these strats develop

A friend and I have also been pretty interested in this~ We're both on the PC version, and were wondering if it's possible to include instant action maps for just the two of us?
No, unfortunately PC does not have a splitscreen mode and the rules say the runs must only be played in splitscreen mode. Would still be interesting seeing what strats you two devise but the run can't be submitted with the way the rules are worded right now regrettably. Hope this doesn't deter you from doing more speedrun attempts in the future.
Hey BostonBrew, the GCW Any% is set to two players. I manually just put in "nobody" for now. I didn't check the others.
