You may have noticed there is a split for the following categories listed in the title. Emulator runs were split into their own category because for No Coins, Mystery Hurdles, and Score runs, Emulator plays differently than regular Mobile.
The "Key", "Power Jumper" (Now Pogo Stick), "Jetpack", "Super Sneakers", "Magnet", and "2X Multiplier" categories have been combined into one singular category called "Obtain Item" since that is what those categories were for.
"Mystery box" has been moved out of Misc., as well.
We have added a new category to the leaderboard for the "Mystery Hurdels" Game mode The objective is to survive as long as possible, This category (Like no coins) has subcategories for No Hoverboard/Keys, No Keys, And Keys.

Hello everyone, this announcement is related to the web and mobile versions, there are some people confused because some people are playing on web on mobile and their runs are being verified on the mobile category. The majority of mobile web runs are going to be moved to the web category, web is web the platform dosen't matter. BTW keyboard and mouse on mobile is allowed, but if you play using the famous "mobilador" platform, then you need to show your fps counter (unless if you are playing on web).

Runners can now use the priority queue via a Google Form. This is good both for verifiers and runners as we would be able to check your runs more convenient, while you would be able to get your run verified quicker. (All verifiers will be able to check your so your run will be verified quicker!)
We encourage user to use the form instead of posting in the server, dming mods or posting in the forum as we could check your run easier.

The mod team decided to split the board between Mobile and Web. After a deeper analysys, we came to the conclusions that the advantages are becoming unfair:

FPS. It's capped at 60FPS on Mobile Subway Surfers. In Web versions there's no such FPS cap. This gives a series of advantages: Less movement delay and you can press multiple buttons simultaneously.

Bugs. On the original Mobile Version theres not as weird bugs as on web version. For example, you can run straight into a wall and survive almost a full second before moving away. Double jumps with pogo stick, and more.

Coin hitbox. The coin hitbox on mobile is different than on web.

Patterns. There are some different patterns that makes web versions preferable for speedrunners.

All this in consideration to the fact that web versions aren't officials with the exception of Poki, which is no longer supported, but web versions are still very accessible and fun to play, so we aren't banning them, just splitting the board for fair competition.
Change will happen within the next days. ?
NOTE: At the moment the board doesn't show all the runs because the site can't handle the change, but you can see them all if you go Filter --> Version --> Any. All runs will reappear when the issue is fixed.

How do you register? In the link above, there is a registration form to be part of the event. After that, submit your no coin runs to each respective board. A team of verifiers will analyze each run before being placed onto the Tournament leaderboard. Hey all Subway Surfers runners! About a week ago, the moderation team was presented with a piece of information which could greatly affect the validity of the leaderboard. Due to the sensitive nature of this information, no further details will be provided. This is to protect runners who play fair from experiencing an environment which would become noncompetitive. As such, major rule changes will take place:
All Top 10 runs in the No Coins category, and Top 3 in Coins, Score, and All Powerups categories will be required to show 10 seconds of game-play footage from their previous attempt and, most importantly, you need to start another run right after the attempt is concluded and play for at least 10 more seconds. THIS IS NOT NEGOTIABLE! All runs from this point forward, which do not provide this piece of evidence when submitting to the thresholds above, will be INSTANTLY REJECTED. All current Top 10 runs in the No Coins No Hoverboard/Keys category which have been submitted in the past week, will be inspected closely. Some of these runs may be removed.
We are also suggesting for top runs to include either an input viewer, screen taps, or hand cam to help aid the verification process. This will not be a required rule, but will greatly speed up the process for verifying top runs.
If you have a top run submitted to any of these categories and would like to provide the moderation team with some submission information before the consideration of your run, send a message through SRC messages to either @dha or myself, @VyPr .

Verifier Application
To become a verifier you need to know how to re-time runs with milliseconds, we need people who are going to verify runs every day without making mistakes.
So... there will be a test to pass! Given some example runs to re-time, if you can answer correctly to all the questions and you meet the requirements, you will be added to the team. You don't know how to re-time yet but you still want to be a verifier? Don't worry! Inside the test there is a video tutorial on how to re-time runs.

Hello guys, we have over 6000 runs in the queue despite verifying hundreds of runs every single day. The verification process is gonna take months to complete, therefore, me and the mod team agreed to introduce a Priority Queue System.
Priority Queue System
Most people submitted their runs for the tiktok challenge and they will never come back to the site again. Many doesn't even meet the site's requirements and they are already banned. We want to prioritize people who actually care about their submission over the others, so that the waiting time will be shorter for them.
How does it work
Just send us a message with your username through speedrun.com or discord and we will verify your run within a day. Your run must have been pending in the queue for at least 2 days to prevent spam / abuse.
Hello guys, You have probably noticed a huge delay in verification time, currently about 2 weeks of queue for your run to get verified. Unfortunatly the afflux of runs is unprecedented on speedrun.com and we don't have enough men-power to deal with it. We are trying our bests but the queue is not going to be cleared for a long time still, infact, it still becomes bigger and bigger every single day.
This is such an epic quest and we are still excited to see so many runners play the game, thank you guys for that <3 But please be patient as your run will be checked eventually. If you have doubts about the validity of your run, just ask in the discord or DM moderators, so you don't have to wait 2 weeks for a rejection message.
Any help is appreciated, altho we can't really find many talented moderators who can verify 50+ runs a day.

Hello everyone. Big changes will happen to the Score Leaderboards! ? With the latest version of Subway Surfers, the game mechanic has changed:
Coin points are now added as you collect the coins while running
While in the older versions the coin points were added after the run ended.
This defeats the purpose of having a distinction between Coin Points and No Coin Points, we decided then to re-time the runs and remove the Coin Points variable.
For some of the score categories, The newest version of the game will be the fastest because of the coin points added, so expect many new WRs to be set in next few days :D

Timing rules has been updated to the following: *Time ends upon the first visible frame of the desired score being achieved. If you are playing an older version and reach the desired score through the coin points, time ends the moment you end the run. In this scenario, you must show the final score reaching the score goal after the run ends. If you have double coins enabled, make sure to reach an higher score as the extra points won't be counted. *
Hey everyone, we have a new change to the leaderboard! Over the past few days, the verification team has noticed some inconsistencies in android emulated runs compared to the standard iOS and android releases of the game. Through hours of testing, we discovered that emulated runs are not at the default 60 fps (frames per seconds), which is the native frame rate of the mobile releases. Emulators ran at an uncapped fps, meaning that the game would run faster, and be more responsive to inputs.
With this knowledge, we decided that all emulated runs MUST have a FPS Counter, and be frame capped to 60 fps from here on out. All top 10 emulated submissions in every category have also been removed.
Guide will be posted shortly on how to cap FPS and show frame counter in BlueStacks.
Due to the quantity of runs we have been rejecting recently, the mod team has decided to make a place where runners can reach out to the mod team and tell use why do they think the rejection/ban wasn't the proper thing to do! The moderator team came to an agreement so here's the verdict:
TOP 10 RUNS must include in-game audio (Sound and SFX on) or they will be rejected.
In the next couple days, all top 10 runs recently accepted will be reviewed.
Runs submitted prior to the top 30 rule can stay in the leaderboard unless they are suspicious for other reasons.
Common sense: Top 10 rule only applies for somewhat optimized categories with at least 10 runs.
Please show the "Tap to Play" screen before your run begins so it may be timed accurately. That is where the run starts, if it's not in the video, your run may be rejected.
