I wanted to clarify something. Are we allowed to rebind inputs in the game's configuration menu? And if so does that mean we can bind 2 different buttons to attack for faster boss kill mashing?
EDIT: Unrelated to the above, but is there a way to fully reset the game to the UNITY splash without closing the window? Because OBS really hates detecting the game until after the splash 4/5 times when I load the game from Steam.
I don't take issue with rebinding. I tried to use antimicro to get it all on a controller, but there were issues with the way the game uses chord keys (ctrl and alt). The general rule of thumb is that you can't bind multiple keys in a way that would give you an unfair advantage.
There is no way I know to go back to the Unity splash from in-game. There are some things that don't reset properly when you hit new game, so I added that rule. It's really more relevant for other categories. You may find that just display capture of that region of the monitor solves the problem, even if not elegantly.
Ok found a solution for the latter problem if anyone else has the issue of delayed recording. You have to set up SotBS as a WINDOW capture instead of a game capture. Of course this means you also have to run the game in windowed mode, but I'm unsure how much time if any that costs.
That makes sense! I've been using window capture as well, so that explains why I haven't faced the same problems.
That's odd I use game capture and don't have this problem, but it's a good work around nonetheless.
