I think it would be interesting to include a column in the leaderboard table that tells which controller was used in the run
I don’t think it matters what controller you use, all types of controllers use motion controls and it really only matters for what you’re most comfortable with.

It's pretty much irrelevant. It'd be interesting information to have, sure, but imagine if every leaderboard did something of that caliber. It'd be an absolute mess. For example, in Undertale, there are quite a few people that alternate between a Gamecube controller and their keyboard.
That, and it shouldn't matter what controller someone uses. You shouldn't switch controllers just because the WR holder uses this specific controller. For all you know, they may have a very unique circumstance where the controller works for them, but everyone else is shit at it. Use what you're comfortable with, or better at using. If the controller you're using seriously impairs your gameplay, or you suspect it, simply asking another experienced runner will clear it up.
