Hi i was just wondering watching those faster runs, why are there no bosses spawning when activating the teleport? Is it because they play earlier version of the game?
Specifically in runs for Celestial Ending, we run on a patch of the game where enabling the artifact of dissonance removes all enemy spawns. This is version 1.1.1.2
In Celestial Ending as Confused mentioned, we run on a downpatch of the game where dissonance causes no enemies to spawn.
In general, sometimes enemy bosses do not spawn because of how the teleporter is positioned. Particularly Vultures tend to not spawn if the TP is in a weird enough position, presumably because the game wasn't able to find a place to spawn them in. In some runs you can see them spawn in only at one particular place. Unfortunately not having a boss can make the run worse since you lose out on a green item.
Seeing as most everyone was for this change, the Gauntlet category will now accept runs performed on an unmodded version of the game. Using the mods is still allowed, with the Fogbound Lagoon stage now being optional - allowed, but not required.
Vanilla runs still submit their IGT from the results
