The fast strumming section of Green Grass & High Tides has more notes than the engine allows.
Source: The top player of this game and song says so in the description of his video here.
Here is the leaderboard for this song. In 13 years, no player has hit 100% on Xbox 360, PS3, or Wii, in the original game.
Only one person has ever hit 100% of the notes on a PS2 emulator. No one will ever be able to submit a run to this category.
Yeah, you're right - just looked into it. It's a previously mentioned category in other rock band games so I imagined It would fit here quite well too - thanks for correcting me, I'll remove the category and find a more manageable challenge category to do.
Also, I've modified the instrument variable to include a 'multi' in the same way the Rock Band 3 page has for band runs, ignore that if anyone submits a singleplayer run.
I do take your point on this one - that the game could be completed fully on certain instruments. Looking at the scoreboard it does seem fiercely rare that someone would ever be able to do it so should the day come where someone is actually able to complete it then the category would be justified in returning but for now, I don't think it's needed.
Yes, you can do the tour or any of the categories currently on the leaderboard with any of the instruments, it's part of the submission form where you can select the instrument used.
The description of GuitarHeroROXS' video of a high score on Green Grass & High Tides said that it might be possible on NTST if you're really accurate on the RB1 engine, but the only person to actually FC this song was on the PS2 version through an emulator like Andy said so I don't know if that would count especially if you take note of what that guy had to do to be able to capture the footage, and game too with his setup. That one and only FC of the song is on the Score Hero leaderboards BTW.
I have decided to change when the timer starts for Singleplayer/Band Tour categories. The timer will now start when you've selected the difficulty after creating your band (on Xbox 360/PS3). Since the Wii/PS2 versions doesn't have the character creation, it will just go to the difficulty select, whi
