Hello everyone, it is with great devastation that double shot was once again patched. Due to Rec Room lack of support to the speedrunning community and seems to not care about its most popular RRO game they have decided that the most popular function in their game was no longer needed. I do understand it was an unintentional bug in the game and never was meant to exist. But this function is what created the foundation of their most popular game. And is the foundation of its most popular community.

Double shot has been around ever since the game was created (sorta). Everyone, even the biggest YouTubers on this platform supported the double shot/infinite shot. The bow was a fan favorite across the entire platform and it sucks to see that Rec Room just does not care about it and not knowing it’s destroying a big community. Even though I am a crescendo speedrunner now, Golden trophy and Crimson were the foundation of my channel and was one of my favorite quest to speedrun and casually play with friends. It’s a shame that it’s all coming to an end.

So without being said I want to tell you all what’s going to happen. We are planning on leaving the leaderboards for a bit longer because maybe Rec Room will have some empathy on the speedrunning community and possibly bring back double shot (highly doubt it). You are all allowed to keep submitting your runs as normal and can still try other categories in categories extensions and here if you want. If it takes too long we will debate on archiving all runs related to the double/infinite shot from the leaderboards. Most likely this will kill the speedrun page but if they’re still people who want to continue to play we will try our best to keep this page going.
