I don't know if anyone has suggested it yet, or if it exists and I just haven't found it... But wouldn't it be cool to have a category for the Reach the Stars (the game's first mission) only? It's a more linear mission, different from the rest of the game, and would make for a very different category to grind through in my opinion.

I don't think that it would be for the main leaderboard but runs like this are always welcome on the Category Extension Leaderboard (speedrun.com/hce).

Our policy for CEs is: If there are 3 different runners that did a run they could submit, we Mods will create the category.

Best to join our community Discord and see if you can convince people to try it out.

I will gladly be the first of three such runners to explicitly run "Reach for the Stars". I'm okay with 3rd place! I just like extra categories.

My candidate run is available here () and achieves a 15:24 according to my RTA timer. I also included the Spire Interlude mission, which has an RTA time of 18:11. I bet that these times can be beaten; my PB for Spire appears to be 18:07, for example!

I don't know what rules are reasonable. I tried to follow any% rules. I didn't use infinite jumps.
