Hello I'm a youtuber from NMRIH, on my computer I play normally, but when I post videos I use the commands sv_cheats 1, mat_fullbright 1 because the game is extremely dark in the recording. I think it's a problem with the video card. If I used this cheat would my run be invalidated? I think there are no problems using this, because many use addons that are outside the game and nobody complains about it. if this is illegal, unfortunately I won't be able to post runs because of the darkness. What is your opinion?

As far as I know, it's against the rules. But you can brighten the video in a video editor.

The use of most console commands is against the rules, sv_cheats 1 being the best example. Typing it before the start or in the middle of a run in challenge mode would automatically render it invalid.

It is also normal for the recording to appear darker outside of the game, so it's not a problem with your graphics card. As Akuma stated, there are other ways to increase the brightness in post.

Keep in mind that a video of your gameplay is not necessary for your run to be validated - the demo is all that is required.
