All in all, i am not a great speedrunner. I played about 900 worlds, it is not that many, but this number is really impressive, i think. Good luck in your beginning. And i hope others cool speedrunners will help you.
I mean, my tip to you is find a good seed that allows for you to get diamonds and obsidian rather quickly, as well as a stronghold that is relatively nearby. A guy named Boffy on YouTube beat Minecraft with wooden tools and a lot of blocks, so I think using stone/iron tools could also work.
Watch videos. Just watch videos, and learn from trial and error. That’s all there really is to it.
