hey, i'm thinking about running this and was wondering if the chinese version is faster than an english PAL copy of the game and if so, can someone give me a heads up on where to maybe get a chinese copy?
Don't bust your head on getting Chinese. It's insanely rare as it was only released in China and only as part of a Hello Kitty Xbox bundle that was released for Kitty's anniversary. You're way better of getting an NTSC copy of the game, as it runs faster than PAL and that's easy to obtain. I have no idea if the PS2 version is the same as Gamecube, since everyone here, yours truly included, runs the GCN version. Similarly, no one's touched the PC version either, and will probably need fixes to be compatible with current day PCs. In addition, Tristan is the only runner that has Chinese Xbox so you can compete just fine with any North American version of the game.
Honestly not sure on the time save, have never actually timed everything. I got the Xbox version years ago just as a meme, but it does seem faster. Got it on ebay though. Not sure if PAL Xbox would be the same speed though maybe? But you can get WR on GameCube right now, if you look the GameCube record it's really close to the Xbox one as this game still isn't as optimized as it can be. Have never played on PS2 so not sure if that's faster / slower or what not, as also haven't got the PC version running.
You can find the Japanese version on Amazon Japan pretty easy, oddly it's Japanese and not Chinese despite the fact that nowhere states it was ever released in Japan on Xbox? This game's history is extremely confusing to me. I got mine for like $35 a year ago but still haven't set up my Xbox for it yet.
I was looking to find the Japanese Xbox edition you were talking about. Instead I cam across this STUNNER!!
