@AH_Eric_Port has discovered you can play most of the minigames in GST with the built-in browser on the Xbox, and we're pretty sure it works for anything that has a browser in it. Subsequently, we've introduced a new 'Console/Other browsers' subsection to the leaderboards. We intended for it to be a category extension on the trial leaderboard of sorts, but since this includes every minigame, we're going to put it onto the main leaderboard for now. If activity is low, we'll remove it. In the meantime, we encourage you to try out minigames in wacky versions of GST like people do with Doom. Does your TV or console have a built-in browser? If so, it can probably run GST, and there are some minigames that are playable even with simply a remote. (memory match comes to mind lol)
Edit: Nearly 4 months and 0 Other Browser runs later, we've removed this subsection.
woah it's been nearly a year since my last post (then again gst activity is down the drain too) Anyways, in this forum post the effects of monitor refresh rate were discussed in Penguin Dash and Present Bounce. Recently, it has been discovered that this factor also affects Rudolf Racer as well. We've therefore promptly amended the ruleset to limit the refresh rate to 60Hz.
Present Bounce Springless% has been moved from Category Extensions to the main leaderboard.
Following the return of Map Quiz, several changes have been made:
-You are now required to play Map Quiz in All Minigames -The ruleset for Map Quiz has been edited slightly to be more accurate
everybody celebrate here
unfortunately it randomly softlocks sometimes (edit: apparently that was always a thing, it softlocks when you attempt to click and drag a placed country)
we may be going to make changes to the leaderboards, stay tuned for future updates (hopefully)
We're involved in Doodle December! It's a month-long competition held by the higher-ups to give Google Doodles of all sorts a chance in the spotlight, and to bring some competition to old, dead ones (definitely not talking about us). If you don't know about Doodle December, head over to the Google Doodle Speedrunning Discord server to check it out. The deadline for signing up is tomorrow, so you might want to take a quick look at it. Of course, Doodle December is in December, which means Christmas, which means Santa Tracker. During Christmas, two of the (objectively) best categories in GST's leaderboard will be included: Present Bounce (PC) Any% on 24/12 Gumball Tilt (PC) on 25/12 As everyone knows, the best way to spend your Christmas is to tryhard webgames intended to entertain children during the holiday season. We'll be waiting for you to submit your runs!
Hey all, It has recently been discovered that there is a Present Bounce leaderboard separate from this one. I've been working with the mods there to transfer all runs from that leaderboard to this one. All runs from that leaderboard have been moved here.
Following the return of legacy Elf Ski, we've made some changes to the leaderboards: -Elf Ski (Old) has been renamed to Elf Ski -Elf Ski (New) has been renamed to Holiday Slopes -The ruleset of Holiday Slopes has been edited to include a link to the minigame -The ruleset of High Score has been edited to be more visually appealing
everybody celebrate here
