Since there has been cheaters expanding recently, me and the other Granny moderators chose to make a poll in Granny Speedrunning Discord server about if we should ban cheaters, and the poll ended up choosing to ban them.
So what's gonna happen?
From now on, if someone was caught cheating 3 times, they'll be banned from speedrunning Granny games forever.
Do cheaters still have a chance to change?
Yes, definitely. If you cheated in the past and you wanna change, then we got no issues, but if you cheat again after this announcement is made, you'll be banned.
Is that gonna apply to the other DVloper games?
Maybe, I do not control these games (although I moderate them), it's @Zanum who does, and he can apply that rule to these games as well if he wants, but if he does, he should keep everyone updated with it.
What if I was accused of cheating?
You can DM one of the moderators to appeal that you did not cheat and you were accused of cheating, and then we'll definitely add your run back and not consider you a cheater, but please keep in mind, you should provide enough proof that makes sense as well, we're not gonna be tricked by any way possible.
If I got banned from speedrunning, will the rest of my runs be rejected too?
No, you just won't be able to submit more.
Lastly, if you ever see anyone cheating, please message me through site messages or through my Discord account which you can find in my connections, but keep in mind you must provide enough and convincing proof to me so I can believe you.

What happened?
Our old Discord server got deleted once I transferred ownership to one of my friends, They were trusted but still deleted it for some reason, And now, Over 700 members and 10k messages are gone, However, I've chosen to re-build the server again with better looks, And boosted as well (not for too long) its no longer boosted, Since there's nothing we can do about the old server deletion, So if you want to join, There it is.

PLEASE if you know someone who was in the old server, Invite him to this one so they can join back, And if the invite link of the old server is in a leaderboard, Change it to the one above.
Starting from 18 January 2024, We'll be rejecting every World Record, 2nd place, or 3rd place that doesn't meet the following requirements:

In-game audio must be recorded in the run

Run must be uploaded on YouTube (or Twitch)

The run video should have a good quality, 720p or more.
This applies for all Granny games except Granny (PC), Sorry for the inconvenience everyone and have a great time speedrunning :)

Granny 1 has been updated, again, into v1.8!
This update was released today I have updated the leaderboard to reflect this, with its own category!
It's not out on the App Store (iOS) yet
Granny still hasn't be reuploaded onto Steam (PC)

Don't worry, this rule really doesn't effect the runs' time much at all, it just makes things more accurate. The start time is what's being updated

Why
In versions less than 1.7.4, the joystick fades into the game, normally we retime runs from when the joystick is first visible, but this is ambiguous. The actual point that the joystick is first useable is when the screen jolts down after waking up, this is about a frame earlier than before Because of this, these runs are now outdatedly retimed, if you would like any of your runs retimed then please DM me and I will do it
In v1.7.4+, the joystick does not fade in and appears at the same time as the jolt. So these runs aren't affected by this

We have decided that we're going to add some more miscellaneous categories onto this game and we're asking for your suggestions on what they should be You can leave suggestions on this post, the forums, or on the Discord
- Please provide a name for the category and a description on what the goal is
- The category's name doesn't have to end in %
- Categories will be on the board permanently
- You may choose it's rules, sub-categories and when the time starts and ends
- Please include the possible difficulties, game versions and other main menu settings - if relevant
- Categories should be fun to run and have possible optimisations
- We're not sure on how we're gonna decide on what categories get added but we will be lenient, or on how long we're letting people suggest
