Hi, there is no point in playing the Probotector of the European version, it works at 50 FPS. It will be inferior to the Japanese and American versions that work at 60 FPS. https://ibb.co/5LKML0n
I don't even have a choice, I don't use room image or emulator to play Super Nintendo . I play this on physical tape and the availability of the game I have on hand and that should be considered. enter this game as a new game in speedrun. and thank you for explaining this difference, this is already a reason. so that this issue is well verified here on speedrun, I just don't enter with a request to open a new game because I don't know how to do it.
because final is an official game by Konami. this must be taken into account. the game exists.
I figured that'd be the issue (that you don't have an alternative). A filter does exist currently to select NTSC or PAL regions, but it seems that a couple SNES Classic runs are improperly placed under that category, maybe because the runners live in PAL regions. The emulator itself (yes, even the PAL region SNES Classic)runs at 60Hz. That should be changed for the sake of accuracy, but that's not the point. A workaround would be to simply place the run in the "EUR / PAL" category, but it'd be good to take up with the moderators of the board in the Discord channel. In short: yes, it's allowed, you can place it under the PAL category
Hi, I've noticed there are still some SNESClassic runs on the board categorised as PAL when it's clearly the NTSC version played. Also it seems that Probotector has it's own leaderboard here:

so yeah.....i was wondering what's the deal with that ¯_(ツ)_/¯
sure its possible to play roms on snesclassic but there are runs on the board labeled pal that are actually playing the ntsc rom not pal because u can easily see if its actually pal cause it would be probotector.
this is a problem because if i want to run pal version againts other pal players i'd have to compete againts ntsc versions even after filtering the region .
that is true, I think is because the game community has been always kind of small compared to other games, I'm guessing that is why some pal region players ended playing the us or jp version of the game. we could add a separated category, but I'm not sure how much people would participate
It is not completely wrong to say that some runs are played on a snes classic pal, because there is a cosmetic difference between pal and ntsc version and the installed games are different. So if you ask an european snes classic runner on what console he played, it is snes classic pal. But all snes classics run at 60hz, and on all regions the game contra 3 is installed, and not probotector. So it makes no difference. But I understand your point for Europeans with probotector on original snes pal hardware. It is too niche for me to make a separate cat for it, but I would agree to make all snes classic runs "usa-ntsc", so super probotector runners can at least filter to compare themselves with other super probotector players.
We have decided to split the leaderboards into "original version" and "anniversary collection". Anniversary collection is very different (way Faster) and therefore not comparable with the other allowed systems/emulators. The Anniversary Collection however is an official release and it is also good,
