This is a short tutorial on how to install the in game timer mod for running btd6 at the world record level

Why Use In-Game Timer (IGT) Mod?

1. Eliminates hardware differences. If you have a bad computer, this mod will remove your game slowing down due to lag.

2. Eliminates pauses. There's been a bug in btd6 ever since version 34 or so that will randomly pause the game for a frame or two after each round even if auto start is on. This will add ~0.250 to your time over a standard easy mode speedrun and even more on longer difficulties.

3. Makes btd6 src mod's jobs easier. We just have to look in the top right corner lol. No need for us to frame count to verify your runs.

How to install?

1. Download dotnet: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/thank-you/runtime-6.0.12-windows-x64-installer and run the installer

2. Download Melon Loader: https://github.com/LavaGang/MelonLoader/releases/download/v0.6.1/MelonLoader.x64.zip (note: this link will auto download the file when you click it)

3. Copy all the files from the downloaded folder.

4. In your file directory, go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Bloons TD6

5. Past all the files into this folder

6. Right click -> create new folder -> name this folder Mods

7. Download the timer mod from https://www.speedrun.com/btd6/resources

8. Copy it and paste it inside the Mods folder

9. Launch game

10. ???

11. Profit
