So I just found a glitch that allows Emi to be invulnerable to all damage (lasers, enemies, hack mini-game damage, BOSSES, and even hitstun). The only thing that kills Emi in this state are death-pits/instant-death related actions (pistons).

By doing some pause menu shenanigans, you can make Emi invulnerable to nearly all damage. This is incredibly powerful since it can be performed pretty much anywhere, including the very start of the game (you can even sequence brake the game by bypassing the first robot you encounter lol), allowing you to pretty much just walk by or phase-through enemies. Enemies also don't detect your presence at all, except for the guards, but they don't damage you at all so it's not a problem. It's just kinda funny.

Here are the steps to perform it:

• Stand in front of an enemy/something that can damage you repeatedly
• Pause the game (System Menu, not going to the inventory)
• Click on "Options"
• Back out of Options
• Stay on the pause screen for a certain amount of time, (average 10-15 secs), basically wait until you "die" (the game is still technically live in this state)
• Resume play

Boom! Now you are invulnerable to pretty much all damage in the entire game.

Some things to note when you are in this state:

You can't pick up health or Trion ammo. So once you're out, you're out. You are technically dead, so it makes sense that you cannot pick up anything; but other than that, you can use every movement augment just fine.

There is a chance where you can get soft locked. If you go against Black Widow while this is active and you run out of Trion ammo, well... you're completely soft locked since you can't actually die.

This might be too broken, and may need to be shoved into a different category entirely.

second, using a sync station "un-fifes" Emi, so perhaps we can get Trions at that stage before re-enabling fife?

EDIT: early nibble skips the flag for unlocking the map, though i suppose one could just go there later?

EDIT 2: un-fife-ing on a save or a void-out restores state to normal with no repercussions, can collect trions/health and re-fife with ease

Black Widow is a much more difficult fight without Zorlon Shot, but it can be done with only missiles, granted having to give up the fife before the fight is 100% mandatory

Yeah I forgot to mention about the sync station thing. You can just use a sync station right before Black Widow and just fight her normally because fighting her with limited trions is very difficult. Also I don't think is prob worth it to skip Zorlon Shot since it's like your main weapon, I think it would slow down the run significantly, no?

One last thing to say is that I haven't tried this on the P.ONG mini-game yet, I'm curious to see what happens if you lose, like do you instantly die or can you bypass him or...? I really need to see what happens.

Black Widow with missiles only is do-able but difficult, definitely slower; the real killer was Missile Commander, unless you are Jupi, I don't think you can do MC with only missiles and drones, and going back to get Zorlon Shot bricked that save, basically setting all the doors to their pre-Burning Sentinel state

re: P.Ong. you can skip Pong by dying, the door is open, you can just walk right through, it works!

Yeah, I just tested that myself and it's pretty crazy that you can just walk through it, lol. Makes the pong match up (especially in Pro mode) so much easier & quicker.
