My run is a completed game from start to finish and can be considered as Any% with the start and end rule that I've described in the official rules. The game runs WITHOUT DLC, it is quite important since DLC sends the last message about completing the game after DLC missions.
The official time that I counted is 1:32:52 because I clicked Livesplit a little bit too early at the end (there is no preset available and I haven't made it myself yet) so I had to do it manually. - It's a screenshot from Sony Vegas from the first frame to the last one.
It's worth noting that the time I have proposed isn't any good by any means - there are PLENTY ways to optimize this speedrun and from my calculations, there is potential for even sub ~1:10, as follows:
- There are 3 levels of screwdrivers in the game. The player is given a basic one at the start of the game, but as he lvls up his reputation increases, and he can buy better ones. He can also find better screwdrivers on the missions itself which was my strategy. I think there is a way to speed it up by buying each screwdriver separately when those respectively unlock, but I haven't checked it yet.
- Missions are built with many solutions in mind, players can have different approaches to inventory and cable management. There is soooo much time to be bought by completing missions in a more optimized way. NOTE: Missions are replayable and there is a built-in game timer that shows the exact time the mission was completed in. It's also on the summary screen each every mission, which helps in finding the optimal path.
- I have serially completed the game - Story mode comes first, and Workbench missions were completed after. It could be faster by mixing things up, as there is a little downtime between missions, but It hasn't been explored yet.
- Some mechanical level of skill is needed, as you have to consistently replace outlets. Optimizing this can be crucial in finding an optimal run.
