Optimal Strategies (As of 6/26/18)

# [1 - Tutorial: Movement]

Hold R for the entire level. Try to turn so that you barely clear each corner without touching them, as touching the walls will slow you down. Entering the level, hold the circle pad left and release it soon after you begin moving. The general path requires you to turn slightly left, then slightly right to align with the wall, then far right, then far right again (aiming for just to the right of the far right corner of the hallway), then the exit is on the left. Spam the A button after touching the door.

# [2 - Tutorial: Interaction]

Hold R and slightly left at the start. When in the hallway to the key room, aim so that the key is directly in the middle of your path. Spam A while heading towards it. As soon as you collect the key, release R and hold L. When you see the front right corner of the hallway, release L and hold R, turning as fast as possible to aim for the door. Spam A while approaching the door, and continue spamming until the next level starts.

# [3 - Tutorial: Obstacles]

Hold R and slightly right at the start. Ignore the spikes, as you have more than enough health to walk straight through them, and they will not slow you down. Take the right turn, then align the farthest left barrel so that it is slightly to the right of the middle of the screen. As you approach, spam X. If you get too close to the barrel, you can't shoot it, so stop before you walk into it. When the barrel is broken, walk through the gap, then go down the hallway into the exit, spamming A. Again, stay close to the wall but don't touch it.

# [4 - Trial by fire]

Hold R as soon as the level loads. You can begin walking before the cutscene ends. Take the left, ignoring the spikes. When you get to the barrels, break the leftmost one like the barrel in the last level. The more shots you can land before you reach the barrel, the faster you can get through. As soon as the barrel breaks, aim for the farthest right barrel that is blocking the key. Try to break it before you reach it. As soon as it is broken, line up with the key, spam A to collect it, and reverse as soon as you collect it. Turn to face the door and then go forward, spamming A.

# [5 - Hack]

Hold R, aiming for the power button and spamming A. Do not stop spamming A until the computer turns off, at which point you can turn around and go to the room with the barrels. As you approach the room, aim for the middle barrel blocking the floppy disk. Shoot the barrel as many times as you can before you can reach the disk drive, which is to the left of the room's entrance. Grab the drive, then bring it back to the computer. Spam A while approaching the port. As soon as it is inserted, reverse and turn to go down the other hallway. Grab the RAM and bring it back to the port, similar to before. Then do the same with the CPU. After picking it up, it's best to just back out of the narrow hallway and turn at the entrance. Then, aim for the same barrel as before, spamming X as you approach. When you reach it, the barrel should be broken, and you can wedge yourself between the hitboxes of the other barrels and grab the disk. When you get it, bring it to the port like before. Then, immediately go to the power button, turn it on, then get ready to go the door when it opens, holding R and spamming A.

# [6 - etisoppO]

Hold L, and go counter-clockwise around the hallway. Keep in mind that you have to hold the circle pad to the right to turn left in this level.

# [7 - Sinking Feeling]

Hold R, but let go right before the camera touches the floor. Wait to rise up again before moving. Try to time your movements so that you begin moving right after you take a step up. If you can see below the floor, you will need to wait a longer time, although it all balances out. Keep in mind that you continue to sink for a little bit after you release the button. You will need to turn slightly to the right at some point, ideally right at the start, although it is hardest to line up at that point. As long as you touch the door, your height will not matter.

# [8 - Light Em' Up]
Hold R the whole time. I recommend this pattern:

# [9 - Maze]

Hold R. First take the path on your left, then follow it until you reach the exit. Do not take any other branches.

# [10 - Big Red Button]

Don't press the button, and just wait in front of the exit, holding R and spamming A. It should be easy to consistently get through in 29 seconds, since the timer starts below 30 seconds.

# [11 - Whirlpool (Boss)]

Hold R at the start. When the countdown goes from 5 to 4, you should move forward slightly. Go down the hallway. When you enter the room, you can shoot during the cutscene, so it helps to line up before entering. During the fight, keep the boss near the middle of the screen but slightly to the right, and spam X. If you get close, use L to back up, but if you back up too much you will get misaligned, and will likely miss opportunities to interrupt attacks. As you are drawn in, you can often shoot to reset the attack animation and avoid having a projectile to shoot down. The blue fire attacks can be shot down, but will take 3 damage (3/4 of a heart) if they hit you. The water ring can be avoided as long as you don't move horizontally, but takes 2 damage (1/2 of a heart) if they hit you. If you have life left over, you might be able to just take the hit and get an extra shot at the boss. When the boss is at 1/4 of a heart left, be ready to start moving forward into the exit, which will spawn in place of the boss and spin.
