will there be new leaderboards due to the new updates since the game is slower to run than before the update?

ran a test run because there was a new update and it felt slower than previous runs that i have had before the update to the point that i believe its near impossible to break the current record, and with the next huge update coming soon probably, when will the current leaderboards be archived?

do you know when will the next huge update happen?

Finland

no, but the game is longer after the last update added a cutscene to the car exit and theres a little wait after clicking the button to fight all the ninjas, which has made the record pretty much unbeatable when the cutscene adds like 7 seconds to the games length and the wait for the ninjas a second

do you know if the update has any name or numeric correspondence? it is to make separate categories

United States

hey there, guy who made most of the update here, the game is most likely a full 20~ seconds slower to beat considering all of the minor changes i made to prevent people from glitching out or teleporting early

i personally considered the update i did to be a sorta revamp to the game to try and make it a bit more modern (?) in some aspects as well as patch it up, i don't want to exactly say whether or not we're planning to update the game any further from this point on but if we do it'll be with adding another partition to the game

i tried keeping the speedrun community in account within most of my changes, but considering how fairly detrimentally lengthy the car cutscene is i'm considering just adding a skip button to it if that patches some things over

then again, considering how different the game is in some places i really feel like a separate category should be made for it to keep things fair
