Due to recent findings, it has been pointed out that runs are now said to have been mistimed due to the changes made to timing runs. As such, ALL runs will be subject to retimes. Some times may be unchanged but some runs may be timed differently (for a shorter or longer time).
Furthermore, it has been noticed that some runs have been playing at a faster clock speed than the majority of runs. This gives an unfair advantage as cutscenes occur at a fater pace without it being possible shortcut within game. As such, new categories will be created for both any% and Normal Mode runs. These changes are currently to be determined and will be implemented once retimes are completed.
Further updates will be announced when the changes are finalised.
Due to the ambiguity of the previous timing method, we decided to update the method of retiming to make it more consitent.
Timing will start on the first frame in which the Bell Pepper display screen appears. Timing will end on the first frame where the word on the result appears. ("Hottest" for Normal Mode, "No Heat" for any%)
Hopefully this clears up any ambiguity for the timing of runs. This timing method will be effective from 31st October 2021 onwards.
