Hey when the mods for a game are completely inactive, what do you do? Could I appeal to become a mod somehow?
I noticed after timing an All Stages run that there is a load time that was unaccounted for in the rules. It is the load that happens between the end of the 8-4 end screen (peach screen) and before the 9-1 screen.
I've been running a category that I've been calling the Japanese NES Mario Trilogy. It's SMB1, SMB2J, and SMB3. I think it has been a ton of fun. I have wanted to do a multiple Mario game speedrun for a while and started learning all four any% but I just couldn't get into SMB2USA. This category is shorter (and sweeter) than all four, and makes a lot of sense as a premise I think. Here's the link to my PB: Let me know what you guys think. :) Edit: Thought I should clarify that SMB3 would be a no wrong warp run.
Recently I've been running Any% D-4 on Allstars. It's a great category (with the exception of D-3). I was thinking that it would be awesome if there was a separate category for FDS. I would run this and could see many others being interested as well. I suppose you would wait for the fanfare at the end of 8-4, hit start to go back to the title screen and then hold a + Start. (obviously 8 stars would be needed) It's a tiny bit awkward during that transition, but it's not that bad. The route would be very different from the Allstars version and D-3 isn't such a nightmare. Seems like a lot of fun. Thoughts?
I am interested in running 11 exit no cape, but I am not finding a lot of resources for learning it. Anyone know of a decent tutorial for this category?
