To all runners, please let me know if you'd like to be a moderator. This game is looking for someone with a little time and knowledge to help verify. Please DM me if you're interested.
Congrats, update 42848 means my militia are 15% slower, so I can't ever break this one
I apologize, I didn't realize I uploaded the unedited footage. WR starts at 4m25
Hold on, maybe I don't know what you mean by "auction reset". Mine was always bugged, so I had an EXTRA screen where I had to bid for -1% shares, which was WAY slower. Yours seemed to work correctly. I emailed them about it, so I bet they fixed it.
EDIT: nvm, ok yeah, the 'reset' you see is fake and is worse for sure. It's the same bug I was thinking of. The game used to think that it eliminated someone when it hadn't, so I had to re-do the auction no matter what. No %'s changed or anything and it's exclusive to the final auctions. It was just a bug that made me do multiple extra auctions, unfortunately. Seems like it's working for you so hopefully it works on my next run.
It's a buggy "no one has 50%" auction. So you have to end the game where no one clearly wins. Then the person with the lowest % is eliminated, meaning you now need 50% of the remaining shares.
Totally agree on the sub 30m. When I was grinding out a run I realized the rng needed for a 51% map 3 is not easy
Should we have a category for in-game clock? In-game timing would allow people to use the combat, smithing, and other skills of the game.
No indication that mic is not recorded. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Game audio can be heard.
In the Kingdom current WR, the timer starts in character creation, but the rules say the timer should start when the world map loads. Is there a reason for this?
Thank you
I wanted to propose some changes to the rule text for clarity's sake. Here are my suggestions:
General Rules
The general rules should be updated to say that runs need to be submitted with a 120hz refresh rate OR a verification of the refresh rate so that it may be adjusted.
To move select your player, aim in the direction you want to go and release.
Runs are timed starting from the first frame after the team-selection screen where text appears and end upon the "NATION Wins" screen at the end of the final match.
All runs must be submitted with a 120hz refresh rate or video verification of the refresh rate so that a time adjustment may be made.
Additional rules will depend on each section/level
Complete the Tournament Rules
You must complete the tournament in the shortest time possible.
For time categories (45/90 seconds) you may use any difficulty
For difficulty categories (Easy/Medium/Hard) you must use the 90-second game clock
I propose this because the only difficulty run uses 90 seconds and would be trivial to beat with a 45-second clock
Biggest Win Rule Changes
- Change the title to "Most Goals". "Biggest win" means your goals minus your opponents, but this category is currently scored just by looking at the player's goals scored. I think we need to either re-do it so that it's goal difference or change the title to "Most Goals" to make sense. I think both "Biggest Win" and "Most Goals" are good categories, though, because one is pure offense and the other is both offense and defense.
For example: the current "90 seconds" Biggest Win is counted as 19 when the game finished 19-6. That should actually be a 13 for Biggest Win. It's a 19 for Most Goals.
- The rules currently state that there are three categories, East Medium and Hard, but we have five categories. I don't think we need the 90 and 45 second categories, so we should either delete those or update the rules to say there are five.
Most Goals In this category you have to score the most goals against the opposition. It will be divided into levels:
easy
normal
hard
Biggest Win In this category you have to have the best goal difference (goals scored minus goals against) It will be divided into levels:
easy
normal
hard
Golden Goal Rule Changes
In this category, you must complete the Golden Goal Tournament as quickly as possible. Golden Goal means the first team to score wins the game.
PS: you can use the ads only once and by seeing the ad, 5 seconds will be added to the counter.
Do you have a reason to reject the two most recent leaderboard submissions? What do you actually think is going on here? I get that noise each time I play the game
Hey, I am not sure if you've continued to look at what the "weird sound" was, but I don't think either of the runs should be invalidated. The sound matches perfectly with the sounds I get in my game. Could you record a video showing your audio settings and seeing if you get it too?
I put a whole day of effort into getting this WR and I don't think there was a reason to take it away, especially without any actual explanation
Hey, could you mod me or time these? Let me know if I can help
Tuberetu, with the help of some people on reddit, I found out the issue. It's that my monitor has a higher refresh rate. My monitor runs at 165hz, which speeds up the actual gameplay by calling more frames of the game per second. It seems like the game is calibrated for 60hz based on how fast the clock runs, but I don't think you or Smokoed are running 60hz based on your gamespeed either. I assume you are running 120hz.
120/165 = .727, which is why it looks 'normal' at 0.75 to you. Timing it at 0.75 would actually be generous to me, should be my time, ~53.3 seconds, times (165hz/120hz). 53.3*1.375 = 73.29, or 1m13.3s. Of course, I didn't actually frame time it, so that still needs to be adjusted for accuracy. But the point is, we can measure these runs at 1.0 speed then multiply by 1.375 to adjust for the increased refresh rate.
Future runs can either be frame-rate adjusted, or I'll just run them at 120hz, which is much easier.
