As far as i know duckstation is the fastest with maxed disk speed, and i saddly dont know about any ps2 emulator that fully supports psx emulation. Bizhawk maybe? Thats the only thing that i can come up with. Try running the psx game with ps2 core. Dont know if it works. But i hope you figure it out somehow or maybe others know things better than i do. Good luck.

The interesting thing is that PCSX2 will actually load my game, but the game has an anti-modchip check. There's a PAR Evade cheat to allow the PSX game to work on PSP and other emulators, but I haven't managed to get PCSX2 to recognize the cheat. But Bizhawk is a new name to me and I will definitely look down this avenue! Thank you!

Just a genuinely curious question! I notice that for a lot of PSX games, PS2 consoles are used for faster loading speeds. Is there any sort of emulator that matches or simulates the way that PS2s handle PSX games?

The reason I'm asking is because I've done some load comparison videos for a game that I'm running, and I've noticed that PS1 Emulators load significantly faster than PS1 hardware, but slower than PS2 hardware. Ideally, I'd love to have everyone on a level playing field so that the boards don't get fragmented. But I'm not quite sure how to go about this.

I'm currently using Duckstation, and even with my disc speeds maxed, there's still a significant gap in loading times to PS2 hardware. I've also tried running the game on PCSX2, but that emulator has very limited PSX support, and unfortunately, this game isn't supported by the emulator.

Is there anything that can be done as far as different emulators or different settings?
