Yes, it should indeed be counted as 24.0+, though there are some small things that have changed on the game, these changes mainly affect aviary. It is possible to setup the game in a way in which it will give you the old start every time in this current patch (I will eventually do a guide or show someone else the setup so they do it).

It is possible to enter eden by your own with one wing, however you would need the home portal. For New Game runs it would not be possible but it is for NG+ if you have the chibi mask

As I see it there are 2 types of invisible walls: The wind that will prevent you from going out of the playzone and the ones that detect that you are out of the playzone, those will teleport you to a spawn point, and there's a chance you will the cutscene (it works 2/3 times for me)
