i'm practicing b hopping in crossfire, and when i take damage and input impulse 101 into the console, it doesnt do anything even with sv_cheats 1 on. it might be that im doing it on a private server, but i dont know.
most threads that aren't made my mods are either joke threads, or complete wastes of time
just buy the xbox version of bedrock if you are gonna play with an xbox controller, it's usually discounted im pretty sure
What is rapid fire? is it like a turbo button that mashes for you?
Im just wondering if i can use a keyboard and mouse for the console section when im running, or i have to use a controller
tip for project 64 use the + and - keys to slow it down, which can help with the spamming
umm.. if you own the steam half life version, i recommend you get the goldsrc version, because it has a speedometer, a bunch more customization, and uncapped speed limit. https://www.speedrun.com/hl1/resources this is the link to the files. Pick the GoldSrc one. if you are interested in just the steam version, there porbably is some stuff about it in the guides section.
TLDR ducktapping/ duckrolling can help with doing small amounts of movement without losing that much speed. this is achieved when you spam crouch/duck (with mwheel) after bhopping, you can move small amounts. it is used if you know that you wont be able to land that far with a simple b hop, and if you do b hop, you will go too far.
After you type "bxt_autojump 1", you need to hold down jump for the command to actually work.
okay, so this is my idea of a half life speedrun. You have to completely unbind the 'forward' key. this would mean that gaining speed might be a bit of an issue, and i don't fully know if it is even possible to finish the game like this. But i think that this would be an interesting idea.
