"People without the two mission pack aren't gonna be competitive at all."
Is this gonna be a problem? At least most existing runners have Mission Packs.
"People are going to need a fairly grinded out save to have any chance of participating at all (at the very least DLC 1/2 + upper-tier inferno gear preferably maxed out)."
I don't think this is a problem at all. Grinding for NG+ category is quite common.
"More often than not the run is gonna go safe over fast, although that can create an interesting paradigm where routing is centered around whether you can make Air Raider fast enough compared to others to make taking risks irrelevant."
Yes it can be true and that's what I'm testing by playing as Ranger.
"Missions 1 to 41 is pretty much half auto-scrolling sections (time wise) meaning it's gonna be much less attractive as a run, doubly so when dying near the end of a 5-14 minute autoscrolling section is a very real possibility."
Yes this is true. Some missions with the sergeant (like M. 13) have quite long conversations. But at least it seems to me more attractive than playing Easy with DLC weapons.
I'm considering a new category AP999 Inferno. You can use any weapon and any class there, but you cannot have more than 999 Armor Points and the difficulty of every mission must be Inferno. I'm considering to add All mission category of it but it is too long and exhausting, so I will also add 3 more categories, Mission 1 through Mission 41, Mission 42 through Mission 82, and Mission 83 through the end. Can you give me your thought?
Thank you very much! Also I'm sorry for asking a stupid thing. I was only seeing https://github.com/speedruncomorg/api/blob/master/version1/runs.md
I would like to filter runs by variables. The API cannot return the same result as a leaderboard with sub-categories or a filtered leaderboard. I think this is not ideal.
Thanks for your consideration.
So I think having 2 categories (offline and online) with All Missions, DLC 1, DLC 2 are merged as sub-categories would be better.
This is done. I will clean unused categories and variables after a few days of reviewing.
(Should we have Offline 2 Player category (the split-screen one) as well?)
Thank you as always. And I found another issue in the filter, there are 3 Character Class variables. This is because I made online categories which made having the common Character Class variable over different categories impossible. (In SRC system, we can only have one variable for one category, or one variable for all categories.) So I think having 2 categories (offline and online) with All Missions, DLC 1, DLC 2 are merged as sub-categories would be better. What are your thoughts?
And for the Online categories, do we need all players' videos? Or is it sufficient if the room host player's video is provided?
Thank you for your feedback. Yes I thought the same thing and wanted to make different difficulties more comparable.
I made Difficulty a non-obsolete variable like Character Class. How does it look?
I'm sorry for the late response.
Yes you can clear some missions faster in higher difficulty (because of enemies' quick movement for example). And I think multiple difficulties is fun since it is more strategically complex. We will consider whether to change the rules or to add the new 'multiple difficulties' option.
I am sorry for the late response. For some reason forum notification didn't work and I wasn't aware of this thread.
Co-op of EDF5 is tricky because:
- There are online co-op (up to 4 players) and local co-op (2 players)
- There are also online 1 player
- There are missions exclusive to online
We will consider what regulations we can adopt. I'm sorry to keep you waiting so long.
Hi, I made the following change on the leaderboard.
- records are not obsoleted by those of different classes
- made difficulties sub-categories
I appreciate your feedback.
Thank you for quick response ^.^ b
Thanks for corresponding. Now we have v1.1.2. Can you add it as well?
Hi! According to Version History page of Gungeon Wiki, the following patches were added after v1.0.10. Can anyone add these?
v1.0.11 v1.1.0 v1.1.0 h1 v1.1.0 h2 v1.1.1 v1.1.1 h1
Maybe we can go without separating hotfix patches.
Thanks.
