I've seen that some players have difficulties with the final time of their runs.
I'd like to explain it with images to clarify for future runners or mods.
-- Beginning of the run --
- In this frame, Crash is finnishing the first animation. The timer is NOT running right now. I recommend starting with -2.5s on the timer to increase precision. https://ibb.co/Qj3mH73
- In this frame, timer starts running. You gain control on Crash at this moment. https://ibb.co/FHDtdqb
-- Ending of the run --
- In this frame, Crash has not taken the power up yet. It is very close. https://ibb.co/4WfFFV9
- In this frame, the power up inits an animation, proving that the power up has been taken. At this moment, timer stops. https://ibb.co/V3PYjc6
I hope it helps!!
Due to recent Finnish competition, the rules have been updated.
Milliseconds are now required for runs under 4:15. The simplicity of this 2D game can lead to too many ties, so we will consider the milliseconds when the times are better than 4:15.
Now timer starts when the player gains control on Crash Bandicoot (when he ends his first animation and faces right). There's a little inconsistency in the creation of a new game. This way timing will be precise.
I hope you like this changes and grind this game to the limit!
Hey! I played today all grand prixes and I see there is no category for that.
What do you think? I think it could be a good category for Racing, instead of focusing on adventure mode
Edit: Here is the run if you wanna check it:
