The amount of times this question comes up starts to disprove an original argument at release that "people aren't interested" in ILs for 3DAS
Howdy, I'm working on setting up some stuff for this game and was wondering if level runs are meant to be in IGT or real time. Currently, it looks like it's real time, but I'm asking because I'm not sure what difference there would be (or harm) in having them be IGT. I'll try to send in some runs once I get a response just so I submit the correct time.
I would say it depends on the game, but as someone who usually plays games separated into levels, it's a lot easier for me to learn certain chunks and stitch them together. But even that preference may vary per person, so it could be that it depends on the player as well as the game.
For SMO as a specific game in mind, I would imagine either way is fine.
Howdy, I'm going to be submitting ILs and full game runs soon and noticed that there is no specification on whether extras are allowed in story runs for ILs. I would love to know whether I should expect to have them all before I start those runs or if I'm able to start working on them now.
A browser-based emulator sounds incredibly unstable.
I think the cookstar thing could fit well in IL boards like Cooking Mama: Let's Cook! does. They're extremely similar games, too.
(And my recent singles run would be the first run of that board)
Those of us who talked about it in the discord server lean towards only singles having a low% even though my submitted all tourneys run sort of counts as a low%
Continuing what Linny said, I have also expressed a desire for gold medal ILs. I know I haven't sent any ILs in myself yet, but I'm just trying to figure out a recording method.
Jerkplayz, if you look up Jaiden Animations on YouTube you'll find the one sole video responsible for all of this.
Wouldn't that just be an IL for an omelet
I mean if there were ILs for alllll of the recipes instead of just the base ones, I'd definitely run them just to make both my purchase worth it and the mods' time with setting them up worth it.
Just wondering why the other recipes from those packs don't have leaderboards. One could make the argument that paid DLC shouldn't be on the boards, but I would like to counter that by saying that not everyone has to be able to run every IL (let alone want to).
That's just giving cheating a leaderboard. If someone is too tired to click, they ought to get a physical copy or just wait until they're ready. If they're not good at moving through the game quickly, they can probably run something else that isn't as intensive.
Not really sure why you'd need to keybind in your emulator if all of the controls are touch screen.
X recipes definitely belong in misc. I don't think any of yall would care to put up 80 different leaderboards for IL recipes right now unless you do a few a day or something.
I was also thinking about ILs starting and ending when each recipe does (so people don't have to start from the title screen every time), but it's probably not a good idea for a while until people actually run the game.
Yeah I asked this question a while ago and would love an answer on it. Is there something stopping us from starting Chapter X at Lv99? Is there something stopping us from starting a chapter at Lv01?
From looking through the IL leaderboards I think the only difference is being able to reset the pointer. Load times seems to be instantaneous on both consoles. I'm hoping 3DAS gets a shot 'cause there are clearly some people interested in submitting given the rumbling we've been giving; ILs seem pretty populated here too, so it's not like they aren't worth it as a category.
I don't believe it'd be hard to set up at all, it'd just take some time. I think all that needs to be done is mimic what the standard 64/S/G leaderboards have for level runs. People would probably be completely okay with the IL boards popping into existence a few at a time to make it easier on the mods.
I'm also physical, but I'm really doubting there's going to be any difference.
