2.1 boards were added because the timebreaker and graverobber were patched so a lot of old times were made invalid. Unless another significant change happens other than a light increase, new boards won't be added.
Well you wouldn't HAVE to do it. I don't like running easy, so I don't.
Since it's only 3 bosses, I am putting the idea out there that we have it as 3 separate categoires: Finish it AFAP, 30k minimum points, then 50k minimum.
So it'd be:
Challenge of Elders: Challenge of Elders: 30k Points Challenge of Elders: 50k Points
Thoughts?
100% allowed. Check a bunch of the old strike times. They are nightfalls.
Not that I'm asking for mod or anything but I have no issue subtracting my own loads or doing it for other people.
Instead of it being called NG+, you coudl call it All missions instead since you can't do tutorial island.
There doesn't have to be separate leaderboards for console and PC, people will just have to factor out loads times manually and because it'd be a fairly long category, I don't think it'd be run that often so verifying won't be that bad. I don't think it'd be too much to ask of people to subtract the load times from their end time.
Factoring out load times would be crucial. Pc can load in a bout 6 seconds while console can take a minute. Also, NG+ kinda would be appreciated as NG would require some much needed routing mostly for how you'll keep up your level and I'd like to some full runs before having to go all in on figuring out how to do what where. The also, would you have to do all missions in proper order, or do the start and end missions have to be the only ones that're the same?
That's a good idea. I'll actually just go do that since it's still allows for people for do duo runs if theyh would like.
The thing is, you can show the full run but have parts sped up just enough to not be noticable, mission complete can show up as it's needed to but you can edit out the time between orbiting and showing mission complete with a fake mission report that you just sat in the activity to get because there is no indication on the report that it was complete. Long story short, you can fake it because Bungie is dumb.
I'd say cut out having to kill Baxx and Ta'arn in Last Rites since they aren't mandatory for completing the mission.
So, my clan, Redeem, ran into this guy who posted a fake 3:24 of the Shadow Thief nightfall back during arc specialist. There are several points during this video where if you pay close attention or have enough experience with the strike you can easily see that it is sped up and he skips him going to orbit and goes straight to the end game time. It's easy to fake an end screen time simply by sitting in the activity until the desired time since the end screen has no indication of the activity of it being complete. So I am proposing an idea of forcing people to show them leaving the activity, entering orbit, and showing the end time or their run will be denied. From now on I will be paying close attention to every detail of runs I verify to ensure there is nothing phony about any runs.
Yeah dude. I'm all for it. It's more things to do at some point in time. Maybe it'll get more people into the speedrunning side of the community.
It's definitely better to do mission times added up because how good your internet is can effect how fast you load the next mission.
So sad that it is, the timebreaker and graverobber were patched so their insane speed trick are no longer working. Well, this means that just about any mission involving a sparrow now has an unbeatable time. The way I see it, 1 of 2 things should be done: 1. All mission times that involve a sparrow should be archived and the main leaderboards should be wiped seeing as how it's literally impossible to beat those times now. 2. A separate leaderboard or option for after patch 2.1 should be put up for all missions involving sparrows.
Now, it's not my decision but I felt like this should be brought to people's attention seeing as how such a major trick for most missions is no longer able to be used and that something should be done. If it's too much of a hassle to make a separate leaderboard or to archive all the old times I'd be happy to help out and/or make a google doc of all the old times for every mission and post it in it's own forum post for all to see should the decision to wipe all the leaderboards be the chosen option.
Not to mention the fact that we can now kill Golg in 1 orb drop. Not sure if we'll go back to do Normal mode runs at all unless someone beats it but we'll do this in hard.
I mean, I own a PS4 and Destiny but not TTK on it yet. Maybe I'll get on that soon enough and get things going.
Since TTK has been out for a week, I'm wondering when all the new missions will be added to the leaderboard. Also, I would like to request that if possible, both hard and easy leaderboards be separate. Having them combined just makes anyone playing the hard difficulties look like they have bad times.
Cleverusername if that's the case then they should be different categories rather than putting them all on the same leaderboard. With them all on the same leaderboard you're literally saying "Hey, if you aren't running the easiest difficulty then your time is already bad." It's like comparing a glitchless Pokemon run to one with glitches. Personally I don't like that anything is run on easy but that's just how I feel. Also, if possible I think it'd be best to also break that down even further to going by which class as well.
I think with how Hard difficulty is now all merged into the light levels difficulty. Maybe everyone should just run the light level variant of the mission instead of easy anyway. Maybe it's just me but IMO, it's not impressive to see a max level player running through a level 5 mission full of enemies that pose not the slightest threat to them.
