you can do it with a return jump, but i just face the camera towards the moon (like the direction the chain chomp would be looking at it) and do a single jump in the back right corner then cap throw and dive, its very consistent, sometimes you bonk but youll still be clipped in
1.0 can also be quite a bit slower depending on the category, like in all moons there arent any hint arts so you have to coin grind for a bit since you get like 2k coins from hint arts (roughly)
couldnt you just mute your speaker, not your audio from your capture card in obs, then you dont have to worry about it being disqualified
Have you checked your original files that obs is saving? I’ve noticed that sometimes when trying to edit or upload a .mkv file the sound is lost, so I always convert to mp4 to be safe
smo any% is probably easier to get into with the large tutorial series by smallant and tomshi (use tomshis), plus the only real tricks that are important starting out are moon cave skip and fish clip which are both very easy. I learned smo a lot faster than sm64, but its really just preference :)
ya it would be nicer than having to setup the specific post game file with all the painting checkpoints and such
i feel like with a game as dynamic as odyssey it would be hard to nail down what exactly are glitches. I mean did nintendo intend for you to be able to roll cancel and keep momentum? It just doesnt seem very viable

metro shop is fast, but I always do the dram with the binoculers so if i miss it and warp i grab the taxi moon which probably isnt the most optimal but it works
@Ocarinist_Drew thats real weird, youd think guiness would be more interested in any% than an obscure category like this
TheGoodGoomba is correct, i saw someone use one for superstar mode, it looks like the star powerup from previous game but you still get knocked down, so not super useful. Also what does the bowser one mean when it says "shows regional coin locations" is that on the map or in gameplay? Its once again not useful for any% or really anything its just something ive never heard of before
