Secondary Daisy Gardens Route for Sub 1 Hour

Daisy Gardens is arguably the most optimizable and route dependent run of all the toontasks. To get a good time, you must have maxed Sound/Squirt/Throw. Lure/Drop is optional and doesn’t really help.

Here are two options to add on to the starting requirements: Option 1: Get to lv 13 in Sellbot suit. This grants you TP access and makes life easier. If you do this, make sure your promotion is ready so you waste less time counting up your promotion. Option 2: Don’t get your sellbot suit. Saves time dancing to not watch sellbot promotion count up.

Start the run when a Double Talker invasion begins. It also helps if a LONG Mingler/Eagle invasion is active, but odds of getting the key task when both are active before the invasion ends are low. You’ll start getting the key offered after 5 tasks have been completed.

Your first two tasks should be Compost Office & Dew Drops Inn. This is the 10 postcards from DT task (100%) and 10 Cogs in DG task. These two will be done at the same time, hence why you start with them. Doing Compost Office allows you to skip the annoying Sprocket tasks later in the run.

After these two tasks, you have a couple of options:

  1. Crop Top Barber ONLY if Bloodsucker invasion has started, or if you can find an Elm Street variant with lots of Lawbot buildings.
  2. Artie Choke (20% recovery from any cog task after visiting a dude on Maple)

After, you take any of the +3 Laff tasks and Spill the Beans. The recovery for the memos go as follows: 100% -> 75% -> 75% -> 50%. Do 5 Sellbots in SBHQ alongside the recovery tasks. You should be done by the third recovered memo. Once done, you should also have the recover blueprints task (50% recovery) to finish +3 Laff and 35 gags at the same time.

The order of the remaining 4 tasks are up to you. Here's what you should do to consider how to finish the run. +2 Laff: Since you have finished Compost Office, you will receive random task offers for +2 Laff from any shopkeep NPC (non-toon hq npc). This is to bypass the sprocket task. If you decide to take the sprocket task, DO NOT TAKE THE LAWBOT ONE. I would not recommend doing either though as recover tasks are a huge gamble and sometimes are not worth taking the chance. Recovery: Name dropper (100%) -> Glad Hander (20%) -> Mover & Shaker (75%) VS Ambulance Chaser (100%) -> Back Stabber (20%) -> Spin Doctor (20%)

Carry 3 Tasks: Since the 6 buildings task is only offered by ToonHQ, talk to shopkeepers for random tasks. Look for invasion cogs or 10 cogs, something quick and simple.

Teleport Access: Try to hold off on this until an invasion starts. If there is an invasion, take it as soon as you see it. The keys work like 100% recovery rate for the first key to 25% on the second, so if you don’t get an invasion, you may be tough out of luck.

There are options however:

  1. Take Coach Z task for factory and Mingler key. 3 chances for a Mingler to show up so might as well.
  2. Take Eagle/Mingler invasionless as a last resort and spam 3/4 stories on Maple Street or Oak Street. It helps to have maxed lure here, but you can solo the buildings without it. If the 3 story you pick has level 4 Cogs anywhere, you're better off restarting the game as you only have 1 chance to encounter a Mingler/Legal Eagle.

Basically you are in trouble if you don’t get an invasion here. It’s really unfortunate. If you wish to wait out more time for an invasion, don’t take the key task and do Coach Z first. His task is to do a factory.

There are 2 options:

  1. Solo a short: Side Entrance --> Fog first battle --> Run past Skelecogs in Pipe Room --> Opera/Wedding/Geyser next 3 fights --> Bessie SOS. If you don't have a Bessie SOS, use Fog in the Warehouse and take damage so you can save Wedding for the Foreman.

  2. Group: DO NOT WAIT TOO LONG FOR A SHORT GROUP. If you need to do a long, it’s whatever. The time difference is 4 min short to 9 min long. Most long groups are quicker than short anyways, as you might get new players who can’t navigate the factory.

TASKS TO NEVER TAKE: The Squirting Flower: It is a trap kind of task to take. You may think all you have to do is deliver 10 squirting flowers, but afterwards, you are forced to fight 20 Cogs on Maple Street. DO NOT DO THIS. 2 Cog Buildings for Carry 3 Toontasks: After you do these 2, you must do 2 2+ stories. After those, 2 3+ stories. What many people may not know is that this task is completely skippable. To skip it, simply go to any shopkeeper and they will offer random tasks for this reward. Sprocket from Ambulance Chaser: As you can see above, this is not worth it. Sure, the first one is a 100% recovery, but the second two are annoying as Lawbots are hard to come across in Daisy Gardens.
