So I got the coolermaster ms120 keyboard and it has this feature where you can have one key pressed 8x. I am wondering if this is a possible new meta.
If you get it to work then sure. I figure it'll act as if you used two bluetooth keyboards at once rather than having two keyboards in front of you. (might act like 3 I dunno though but seems fine it'll just replace the need for multiple keyboards I think) Like Safety said just go ahead and try it I guess.
I just did a test as grover and it took me less than 3 seconds to beat cookie, and this is with one keyboard
I just submitted a run for oscar but I don't have the patience to do all the characters. maybe I'll . stream on a good pc and just sweep the WRs
I accidentily auto verified the ernie run but i think im fine and it would have been accepted anyway
Lol apparently so. I went ahead and verified everything for ya. Uh, nice job on all the world records XD. By the way, if possible could you divide the runs up by each character just so if someone wants to view a specific run they can. (Or otherwise set a time stamp where you play the character.)
Hey Kurisama I don't know about the New Meta , from the way I see it what he has with that keyboard is a turbo button. Many speedruning communities see this as cheating because it distracts from allowing the game to be played as intended when I used more than keyboard I was still within the guidelines but I don't know about his new 8x button. Was do you think? In my opinion I don't see it as fair and would change the guidelines but are waiting for the OK. If you look at it from my point of view it seems unreasonable like pay to win sort of, I hope you consider my request.

Well it does seem kinda cheap and it doesn't look like he got a single guess right xd. The main skill/rng involved is basically gone. Although speeding up keyboards technically isn't against the rules...I do agree that maybe its a bit too powerful. We could do that turbo category thing. It could be like "any keyboard that allows more keypresses per/sec than a typical keyboard goes here" or something like that.
Another thing, the ms120 does seem to cost a lot of money as you mentioned. The cheapest one I found on Amazon is like $70-80 so if we keep these runs the only way anyone stands a chance is if they pay around say 75$ just to play some meme game which seems quite unnecessary.
Alright, there's at least a category setup up without any rules. I'm going to attempt to put things in the right place and see how the leaderboard is effected. We'll keep all of his runs obsoleting each other with the Elmo run being the dominant time. The other runs will be in for further discussion depending on what we decide to do with them.
well during the runs i got similar results to 3-4 keyboards, so that keyboard may just be a replacement and another option
